Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ben Luc district - Thai Van Quy shared: "Through social security programs, the material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved and enhanced, the rate of poor and near-poor households is significantly reduced every year. From there, creating consensus in society, contributing to the successful implementation of political , economic, cultural - social, national defense - security tasks of the locality".
According to Mr. Thai Van Quy, the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and rural areas" has been deployed and implemented effectively, thereby promoting the positivity and consensus among the people. Up to now, the whole Ben Luc district has 11/14 communes meeting new rural standards, of which 1 commune has met advanced new rural standards (Thanh Phu).
The district has completed the dossier to propose the Provincial People's Committee to recognize Tan Hoa commune as meeting the new rural standards and My Yen commune as meeting the advanced new rural standards. In 2024, the district strives to have 2 more communes meeting the new rural standards (Thanh Loi and Binh Duc) and 1 advanced new rural commune (Long Hiep) according to the roadmap and Resolution set forth by the District Party Committee. In 2025, the district strives to "reach the finish line" of the new rural district.
Social security work is of special concern to My Yen commune, Ben Luc district.
My Yen commune (Ben Luc district) currently has 8 hamlets with 2,646 households and 10,846 permanent residents, 7,539 temporary residents. In recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and organizations have closely and regularly coordinated to effectively implement the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and urban areas".
Social security work is given special attention. Many good models have been built and implemented such as Supporting orphans, lonely elderly people, and disabled people in difficult circumstances. In 2023, the commune mobilized people and philanthropists to donate 1,830 gifts worth over 679 million VND; the study encouragement movement of the Front and member organizations with the model of Honoring excellent students, giving 254 scholarships to excellent students with an amount of 55 million VND and scholarships to support going to school for 20 students in difficult circumstances with an amount of 47 million VND.
Last year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune repaired 2 gratitude houses with the amount of 40 million VND and built 1 new house with the amount of 50 million VND; sponsored 11 cases including orphans, lonely elderly people, and disabled people with the amount of 8.5 million VND/month.
Thanks to the consensus and cooperation of the government and people in social security work, up to now, My Yen commune has no poor households, only 16 near-poor households. It is expected that by the end of 2023, the commune will be recognized as meeting advanced NTM standards.

Over the past years, under the leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ward 1 (Kien Tuong town) has always promoted the spirit of solidarity, mobilizing people of all walks of life to actively participate in the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and urban areas".
Through the 5 contents of the campaign associated with the criteria for building a civilized family, movements, national target programs, job creation, poverty reduction, gratitude, and social security. Since then, the quality of building a cultural family and a cultural neighborhood has been increasingly improved. The main roads in Ward 1, Kien Tuong town have been expanded and paved for convenient travel, which is a driving force for economic development.

Up to now, 2,550/2,550 households have registered as cultural families, reaching 100% of all 3 contents; 5/5 neighborhoods have registered to maintain cultural neighborhoods.

"Socio-economic development goals related to people's lives such as poverty reduction, gratitude, prevention and control of drug crimes, social evils, environmental sanitation, etc. are integrated and widely deployed to the community" - Ms. Huynh Thi Dam added.

In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ward 1 regularly encourages people to practice civilized lifestyles in weddings and funerals, eliminate social evils and superstitions, and build cultural families; coordinate with schools to visit families whose children drop out of school, find out the reasons, and help bring them back to school; and encourage couples to practice family planning and not have a third child.
