The survey was conducted in the Dan Kia Lake area, one of the important sources of domestic water supply for Da Lat city and Lac Duong town. After the field survey, the monitoring team worked with the Lac Duong district government and relevant agencies at the district People's Committee to discuss the situation of water source protection at the lake.

Dan Kia – Suoi Vang Lake, with an area of over 356 hectares, not only serves hydroelectricity and irrigation activities, but also plays an important role in providing domestic water for Da Lat city and Lac Duong town.

However, in recent years, the development of high-tech agriculture, the conversion of crops from coffee to vegetables and flowers, has led to an increase in the use of pesticides, increasing the amount of agricultural waste, including pesticide packaging. Low public awareness in waste collection and treatment has led to waste flowing into Dan Kia Lake, directly affecting the quality of water sources.

Full-time National Assembly member Trinh Thi Tu Anh asked questions about the results of implementing the Law on Environmental Protection in Lac Duong district and Dan Kia - Suoi Vang lake.

Therefore, the collection and treatment of waste in the Dan Kia - Suoi Vang lake area requires strong participation from authorities at all levels and close coordination of functional agencies, in order to protect safe and quality water sources for the community.

Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Tran Quoc Tuong explained some contents under his authority.
