On August 29, the Supervisory Delegation of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ninh province, led by Mr. Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, conducted a thematic supervision of the implementation of policies and laws on the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values in Uong Bi city in the period of 2018-2024. Accompanying them were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and leaders of relevant departments and branches of Uong Bi city.

There are currently 31 relics in Uong Bi city. in the province's ranking list. Of which, there are 2 relics ranked at the national and special national levels, 7 relics ranked at the provincial level; 22 relics are in the inventory and classification list. Determining the importance of the relic system in the area, in recent times, Uong Bi city has implemented synchronous solutions to preserve and promote the values of the relics in the area. Especially for Yen Tu relic and landscape area, with support funds from the state budget and socialized sources, Uong Bi has restored and prevented degradation of most of the relics.

At the same time, collect, preserve and promote the value of treasures, antiques and ancient relics. Call for and attract businesses to invest in building infrastructure in the relic site. Thereby, contributing to preserving, conserving and promoting the priceless historical and cultural values of Truc Lam Buddhism. In addition, the city is also proactively preparing the necessary conditions to implement the management plan of Yen Tu Historical Relic and Landscape Area right after the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Relic and Landscape Complex was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

These are the bases for Uong Bi to aim at professionalizing spiritual cultural tourism activities, associated with serving tourists to visit and study cultural heritages in the area. Contributing to protecting, preserving and promoting the value of heritages in the city.
Supervising the Yen Tu relic and scenic area, comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, highly appreciated the city's efforts in preserving and promoting the value of this special national relic site. At the same time, he suggested that the city continue to research and implement comprehensive solutions to further promote the value of the heritage.

In particular, it is necessary to continue researching and collecting scientific documents to clarify the historical value of each relic. Focus on further improving the professional qualifications and knowledge of the history and culture of Yen Tu for the staff of the Yen Tu National Park and Relic Management Board. Thereby contributing to introducing and promoting the special values of Yen Tu to the people and tourists when coming to Yen Tu. In addition, continue to review and implement solutions to preserve relics and artifacts at risk of degradation.

Supervising the reality at the Dao Thanh Y Cultural Space Exhibition House and some relics in Thuong Yen Cong commune, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that these are relics and cultural institutions that if preserved and promoted, will increase the attraction of tourism in Uong Bi city in the current period and in the future. Therefore, the city needs to continue to have solutions to better exploit the value of these relics.

On the same day, the working group conducted a field survey at the Bao Dai Pagoda archaeological site in Vang Danh ward. According to the results of research and archaeological excavation conducted by the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, it was initially determined that this was a Buddhist historical site. Based on the archaeological results, the City People's Committee has submitted it to the Provincial People's Committee and is being considered for inclusion in the provincial inventory list according to the people's wishes.

Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, requested Uong Bi City to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to continue completing the scientific research dossier on this relic. On that basis, propose appropriate conservation and restoration plans.
