The Lao Embassy delegation in Vietnam paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of Ha Tinh province.

Over the past time, Ha Tinh has always paid special attention to maintaining, consolidating and tightening the friendly relationship and comprehensive cooperation with localities of the Lao PDR.

On the morning of September 15, a delegation from the Embassy of the Lao PDR in Vietnam led by Comrade Seng-Phet Hung-Bun-Nhuong - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao PDR in Vietnam visited the leaders of Ha Tinh province.

Comrade Vo Trong Hai - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee welcomed the delegation. Also attending were Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thang - Commander of the Provincial Military Command; representatives of a number of relevant departments, branches and units.

Speaking at the courtesy call, Comrade Seng-Phet Hung-Bun-Nhuong - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao PDR to Vietnam said that in recent years, the world situation has been complicated, especially the COVID-19 pandemic has severely affected the whole world. In that context, Vietnam in general and Ha Tinh in particular have still achieved many great achievements and rapid development.

The diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos are also increasingly expanding and deepening. In particular, the Lao Government highly appreciates the relationship between Ha Tinh and Lao localities. In difficult conditions, Ha Tinh still directly supports funding and many projects and facilities in the fields of health, irrigation, agriculture, etc. for Lao localities. Every year, hundreds of scholarships are provided to support students studying at local training schools; contributing to improving the quality of human resources for Laos.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao PDR to Vietnam also thanked the leaders of the Party, State, and localities, including Ha Tinh, for always creating favorable conditions for the Lao Embassy in Vietnam to fulfill its tasks.

At the reception, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai, on behalf of the provincial leaders, congratulated the Ambassador on his excellent performance in his term of office in Vietnam and on having just been awarded the First Class Labor Medal by the Party and State of Vietnam for his important contributions to the relationship between the two countries. At the same time, he thanked the Lao Embassy delegation for their affection and concern for Ha Tinh and the objective assessments of Comrade Seng-Phet Hung-Bun-Nhuong on the situation in Vietnam as well as Ha Tinh.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also informed about some outstanding results in the socio-economic development of Ha Tinh. In particular, in the field of foreign affairs, Ha Tinh always pays special attention to maintaining, consolidating and tightening the friendly relationship and comprehensive cooperation with localities of Laos; especially with the provinces of Bolikhamxay, Kham Muon, Savannakhet, Vientiane Capital, expanding relations with the northern provinces of Laos.

The two sides also regularly exchange high-level delegations; have close, comprehensive and effective cooperation in all fields; focusing on exchanges and cooperation in the fields of border security, health, agriculture, new rural areas, investment attraction...

On the basis of promoting the achieved results, Ha Tinh continues to consolidate and strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and Laos for the longevity and prosperous development of the two peoples.
