Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Viet Van and delegates offered incense at the Monument and Temple of the Heroes and Martyrs of the Ship Without Numbers.
The delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers to commemorate and express gratitude for the heroic martyrs of the Ships Without Numbers. During the resistance war against the US to save the country, the officers and sailors of the Ships Without Numbers were the core force, directly opening the strategic sea transport route named after President Ho Chi Minh, promptly transporting human and material support for the people and army of the South to defeat the US, establishing one of the particularly outstanding feats of the heroic Vietnam People's Navy.
During 14 years, from 1961 to 1975, on duty on the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea, officers and soldiers of the No Numbered Trains transported thousands of people, hundreds of thousands of tons of goods, and weapons and equipment to support battlefields in the South.
Many comrades heroically sacrificed their lives, and the ship will forever remain at sea. They are the loyal and brave sons of the Vietnamese people; always showing their infinite loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the People; overcoming all difficulties, hardships and sacrifices to excellently complete their missions.
The heroic sacrifice of the martyrs of the Ships Without Numbers has been engraved in the hearts of generations of officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy in particular and the history of our national army in general.
