The delegation of Lao Cai province came to offer incense at the Temple of Heroic Martyrs of High Point 468, Nam Ngat village, Thanh Thuy commune, Vi Xuyen district. Here, in the battle to protect the border, the soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army were heroic, intelligent, brave, and resilient, "Not an inch gone, not a millimeter left", determined to keep every hill, cliff, and high point with the spirit of "Living on the rocks to fight the enemy, dying to become immortal in stone". There were more than 4,000 heroic soldiers who sacrificed their lives, forever remaining around this area.

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation of Lao Cai province laid wreaths and offered incense to express their respect and pray for the souls of the martyrs to rest in peace; vowing to continue the glorious and heroic tradition, unite to overcome difficulties, excellently complete all assigned tasks, and build the homeland and country to become more and more prosperous.

Next, the delegation of Lao Cai province offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery (Ha Giang province). This place gathers 1,919 remains of heroic martyrs and a mass grave, including the graves of 14 martyrs from Lao Cai (7 martyrs of Lao Cai city, 5 martyrs of Van Ban district and 2 martyrs of Bao Thang district), who sacrificed their lives in the fight to protect the northern border of the Fatherland.
