Delegation of Bac Kan province visited Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

The delegation was led by Ms. Phuong Thi Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council. The delegation included Ms. Hoang Thu Trang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of districts and cities and especially 45 outstanding veterans of Bac Kan province - those who directly participated in the battle and made the historic Great Victory of Spring 1975.

The delegation was welcomed by Ho Chi Minh City units at Tan Son Nhat airport.

During the trip, the delegation visited and offered incense and flowers at many red addresses and historical sites in Ho Chi Minh City such as: Thong Nhat Hall - the place marking the historic moment of April 30, 1975; Cu Chi Tunnels historical site - a vivid testament to the persistent fighting spirit of the army and people of the South; War Remnants Museum, Ho Chi Minh Campaign Museum - where the heroic history of the nation in the resistance war against the US to save the country is truly recreated. In addition, the delegation also visited many typical cultural and tourist sites of the City, experiencing the dynamic and modern development of the economic locomotive city in the South of the country.

Comrade Phuong Thi Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, on behalf of the delegation, presented gifts to Ho Chi Minh City.

Comrade Tran Thi Dieu Thuy - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

The visit is not only an opportunity for delegates, especially veterans, to review the heroic and proud memories of a time of war, but also an opportunity for today's generation to learn and continue the spirit of solidarity, indomitability and aspiration for peace and development that our ancestors left behind; adding motivation for today's and future generations to constantly strive to build an increasingly rich and powerful country./.
