Delegation of Ninh Binh city offered incense on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day

On July 24, on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), the delegation of the Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Binh city organized a wreath laying ceremony and incense offering to commemorate heroic martyrs at the city's Martyrs Memorial.

During the nation's long resistance wars, Ninh Binh city had over 13,000 cadres and soldiers participating in combat and serving combat on all fronts; over 1,500 martyrs, nearly 1,800 wounded and sick soldiers, 45 resistance fighters captured and imprisoned by the enemy, nearly 700 revolutionaries infected with toxic chemicals, over 80 veteran revolutionary cadres and pre-uprising cadres, many families with contributions to the revolution, 108 mothers awarded the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother, 1 person awarded the title of Hero of the Armed Forces and over 8,000 people awarded resistance medals and orders.

Promoting the nation's tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", in recent years, the work of people with meritorious services and the movement of "Repaying gratitude" have received special attention from the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, all levels, sectors and organizations of the city, devoting a lot of affection and resources to taking care of the material and spiritual life of families of people with meritorious services to the revolution.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation of Ninh Binh city respectfully laid wreaths, offered incense, and observed a minute of silence to express deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who were the outstanding sons of the homeland who fought and heroically sacrificed for the revolutionary cause of the Party and for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

Before the heroic martyrs, the delegation of Ninh Binh city expressed their determination to promote the revolutionary tradition, solidarity, unity, and strive to fulfill the goals and tasks of socio -economic development in 2024, the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, and build Ninh Binh city to be increasingly prosperous and developed.
