Provincial National Assembly delegation meets voters of Hoa Binh district

The provincial National Assembly delegation met with voters in Hoa Binh district.

Implementing the Voter Contact Program (TXCT) before the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly, on April 22, the National Assembly Delegation of Bac Lieu province, including National Assembly Delegate Nguyen Huy Thai - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Bac Lieu province; National Assembly Delegate Tran Thi Thu Dong - Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Cultural and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists; representatives of provincial agencies and departments had a meeting with nearly 300 voters in Hoa Binh district.

Informing voters about the expected contents of the session, the representative of the provincial National Assembly Delegation said that this could be the longest session in the 15th term with the largest workload, deciding on the most important issues. In particular, it will decide to amend and supplement a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution to serve the arrangement of administrative units and the arrangement of local government levels. The session will also consider and pass 30 draft laws and 7 resolutions; give opinions on 6 draft laws. In addition, the National Assembly will also consider other draft laws and resolutions to serve the arrangement of the apparatus of the political system and other draft laws and resolutions to decide on socio-economic development issues; State budget, supervision and other important issues... The session is expected to open in early May 2025 and last for about 2 months (with a 3-week break between sessions) and is expected to collect public opinions on constitutional amendments.

Voters give opinions and recommendations to the National Assembly.

Sending their opinions to the National Assembly, voters of Hoa Binh district proposed to consider the regime when non-professional commune-level cadres quit their jobs due to the end of their duties. This is a force that has suffered many disadvantages up to now, so it is suggested to consider and consider more reasonable and appropriate policies. Voters of Hoa Binh town also suggested that the Ministry of Education consider and adjust the school hours of primary school students from 2 sessions to 1 session, because the current hot weather makes children very tired when moving between classes, and picking up and dropping off children earlier than office hours also affects the work of cadres, civil servants and workers. Voters who are hamlet cadres proposed to change the payment of longevity money to the elderly, to directly pay the correct amount according to regulations, and to limit the giving of accompanying gifts that the elderly do not need. At the same time, voters of special associations at the commune level also questioned the lack of remuneration and the lack of funding. Sharing the same opinion, voters of Hoa Binh town continued to make recommendations regarding operating costs and remuneration for the Association of Former Youth Volunteers. Voters of Vinh My A commune requested the province to pay attention to investing in the early construction of Vinh My A suspension bridge, which is currently out of use, greatly affecting the travel of people in the area.

Agreeing with the policy of merging administrative boundaries and streamlining the apparatus, creating momentum for the country to develop more strongly, most voters of Hoa Binh district are happy and wish that the new policies will be implemented soon. Regarding this issue, voters suggested that not only streamlining at the grassroots level, but the National Assembly and the Government also need to consider streamlining the apparatus at the central level, in ministries and branches.

With 8 voters' opinions showing their enthusiasm related to major issues of the country, the province, and the locality, National Assembly Delegate Nguyen Huy Thai - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation highly appreciated all the opinions raised by voters. After the provincial departments, branches, and the District People's Committee explained a number of issues within the locality; regarding the recommendations under the authority of the Central Government, Deputy Head of the Bac Lieu Provincial National Assembly Delegation said that the Office of the National Assembly Delegation will synthesize the opinions, prepare research documents, and serve at the upcoming session.
