Provincial National Assembly delegation meets voters of Hong Dan and Phuoc Long districts

Implementing the Voter Contact Program (TXCT) before the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly, on April 24, the National Assembly Delegation of Bac Lieu province, including National Assembly Delegate Nguyen Huy Thai - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; National Assembly Delegate Tran Thi Thu Dong - Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Cultural and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists; representatives of provincial agencies and departments, leaders of Hong Dan and Phuoc Long districts had meetings with more than 400 voters in the two localities.

At the meetings, representatives of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation informed voters of the content and program of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly, scheduled to open on May 5, 2025 and close on June 28, 2025. Accordingly, this is a particularly important session of the country, with the plan to amend the 2013 Constitution; consider and pass 30 draft laws and 7 resolutions; and give opinions on 6 draft laws. In addition, the National Assembly also considered other draft laws and resolutions to serve the organization and organization of the political system and other draft laws and resolutions to decide on socio-economic development issues; state budget, supervision and other important issues...

* In Hong Dan district, voters expressed their agreement and joy with the State's policy of exempting tuition fees for public school students, and there were still many disagreements with the situation of inconsistent textbooks. Voters also made recommendations on a number of issues related to water sources for two rice crops in a closed dike area now converted to rice - shrimp; water sources for aquaculture; unstable agricultural product prices. Voters expressed concern about the situation of false advertising of milk and medicine products; and prolonged construction of traffic infrastructure projects.

* In Phuoc Long district, voters continue to petition

The central and provincial governments have invested in irrigation systems to ensure agricultural production; voters also raised issues of rural environmental pollution; degraded rural roads; increased prices of agricultural materials; and cyber security issues.

In addition, regarding the issue of streamlining the apparatus according to the Central Government's policy; voters of both Phuoc Long and Hong Dan districts expressed high consensus. Voters believe that streamlining and rearranging administrative units will help reduce the number of focal points, increase the efficiency of state management, and save a lot of costs. However, voters also hope that the State needs to have better policies for grassroots officials, especially part-time officials who quit their jobs due to the merger. In addition, administrative procedures also need to be taken into account to create more convenient conditions for people.

In an exchange with voters of the two localities, National Assembly Deputy Nguyen Huy Thai - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation acknowledged the opinions raised by voters. Regarding issues within the scope of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, National Assembly Deputy Huy Thai also explained to the people, and for other issues, the Delegation will synthesize opinions, prepare research documents, and serve at the upcoming session.
