On the afternoon of December 3, the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ninh province held a meeting with voters to announce the results of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
About 12,000 voters of Quang Ninh province attended the meeting in person and online at the meeting points of districts, towns, cities and 171 commune-level meeting points in the area.
Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, National Assembly delegate of Quang Ninh province Nguyen Xuan Thang informed about the implementation of the country's socio-economic plan; emphasizing that in the context of many difficulties in the world and the country, the country's growth rate in 2024 is estimated to reach about 7%, higher than the expectation set at the beginning of the year of 6-6.5%.
Chairman of the National Assembly Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh reported on the results of the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly; saying that after 29.5 days of working with a spirit of innovation, proactiveness, urgency and high responsibility, the 8th Session completed the entire proposed program.
The National Assembly passed 18 laws and 21 resolutions, and gave initial comments on 10 other draft laws. Of these, 7 laws followed the 1-session process, 4 resolutions contained legal norms; reviewed and decided on personnel work within its authority.
Personnel work was carried out carefully and closely, closely following the leadership and direction of the Party Central Committee and the Politburo, ensuring compliance with Party procedures and regulations and State laws, achieving a very high level of consensus among National Assembly delegates.

Some voters suggested that the Central Government and localities should review the planning of residential areas to avoid natural disasters for the people; suggested that the Government and localities take measures to repair and maintain irrigation and hydroelectric dams to prevent risks to people's lives; the National Assembly strengthen supervision, the Government implement strong measures to protect the environment; control counterfeit goods, especially functional foods; strictly handle illegal credit activities...

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ninh Province Dang Xuan Phuong informed that at the Session, the delegates in the Delegation actively studied and gave opinions on the content of the group discussions and discussions in the hall. 8/8 National Assembly delegates in the Delegation registered to speak with 39 direct speeches in the group and hall.
