(BD) - In preparation for the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly, on the afternoon of April 24, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired by Deputy Head of the Delegation Ly Tiet Hanh, worked with Binh Dinh Electricity Company and related units, listened to reports on the investment and development situation of the electricity sector and the results of resolving voters' opinions and recommendations related to the management of the electricity sector.

According to the report of Binh Dinh Electricity Company, in recent years, the focus on investing in upgrading the power grid has been implemented synchronously, meeting the electricity needs of the people, serving socio-economic development. As of the end of April 2025, the Company had over 494 thousand customers using electricity in the whole province. Annual commercial electricity output increased from 3.21 - 11.33%. In the first 4 months of 2025 alone, the province's electricity output reached nearly 877 million kWh. Of which, the electricity output for industrial production and construction was 426 million kWh, an increase of 7.76% over the same period in 2024.
Binh Dinh Electricity Company also performs well in terms of reliability of electricity supply and customer service.

In 2025, 42 new power projects will be built in the province, with a total capital of more than 228 billion VND. By the end of the first quarter of 2025, the electricity sector has accepted and put into use 7 projects.
Notably, the industry has invested in a project to supply electricity to Canh Tien village, Canh Lien commune (Van Canh district) from the national grid. The project has a total investment of VND9.2 billion, including the construction of 3 new transformer stations with a total capacity of 137.5 kVA; a medium-voltage and low-voltage line system of more than 15 km; installation of 188 electronic meters and an indoor electrical system for all households. Up to now, after 4 months of urgent construction, the project has been basically completed, preparing for acceptance and energization to put into operation, meeting the expectations of the people.

At the meeting, Binh Dinh Electricity Company requested the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to propose the Provincial People's Committee to continue directing enterprises, organizations and individuals to seriously implement the electricity saving plan, use electricity reasonably and effectively, contributing to the electricity industry to stabilize the electricity supply in the province. For new investment projects, it is recommended to use machinery, equipment and technology that consumes less energy and limits environmental pollution.
In his concluding remarks at the meeting, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Ly Tiet Hanh acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in investing in upgrading the power grid system and production and business activities of Binh Dinh Electricity Company and other electricity sector units. At the same time, the Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation requested Binh Dinh Electricity Company to continue to pay attention to investing in upgrading the power grid system to better meet the demand for electricity, serving socio-economic development. Take measures to protect the power grid safety corridor, ensure safe and uninterrupted power supply; promote propaganda on electricity saving to organizations, individuals, enterprises...
The provincial National Assembly delegation also noted the difficulties and recommendations of Binh Dinh Electricity Company and related units to synthesize and send to the National Assembly, central and local agencies for consideration and resolution.
