On July 3, within the framework of a working visit to Mongolia, a high-ranking delegation of Ho Chi Minh City led by Comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, visited Ho Chi Minh School (Inter-level School No. 14) in the capital Ulaanbaatar.
Here, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen and the delegation offered flowers to the statue of Uncle Ho, visited the Ho Chi Minh Tradition Room on the school campus, and interacted with and gave gifts to students and the school's Board of Directors.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, students of Ho Chi Minh School in traditional Mongolian and Vietnamese costumes performed cultural performances imbued with Mongolian cultural identity and songs about Uncle Ho.
Speaking at the visit, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee expressed his joy in accompanying the delegation to visit Ho Chi Minh School on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the school's founding and the preparation for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Mongolia. He thanked the warm feelings that teachers and students of Ho Chi Minh School gave the delegation with special performances.
Comrade Nguyen Van Nen acknowledged the activities and achievements of Ho Chi Minh School, especially the activities to learn about Vietnamese culture and President Ho Chi Minh. He emphasized that the activities of teachers and students of Ho Chi Minh School contribute to maintaining and spreading the solidarity and friendship between the two countries and the two peoples, making them increasingly close and better. The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee believes that these results will continue to be promoted in the coming time.
On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City, comrade Nguyen Van Nen presented the school with 10 sets of computers, contributing to increasing equipment, helping teachers and students have better conditions in teaching and learning, meeting the needs in the coming time.
He wished the students to strive and achieve many excellent results in their studies and training. From there, they will become talented people, following in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers to build Mongolia to become increasingly rich, prosperous, and the people happy.
At the same time, contributing to fostering the good friendship between the two countries of Mongolia and Vietnam to develop more and more sustainably. Comrade Nguyen Van Nen hopes that the students of Ho Chi Minh School will always be ambassadors bringing the friendship and unique historical and cultural values of Mongolia to the Vietnamese people.
Principal of Ho Chi Minh School E. Gungaajav thanked the affection and help of the Vietnamese people in general, the Party Committee, the government, and the people of Ho Chi Minh City in particular for the school to improve the learning environment for students.
Regarding the school's activities, the Principal of Ho Chi Minh School said that the school has about 6,000 students, 238 teachers and staff. The school is characterized by honoring the career of President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader, outstanding cultural figure. The school's students learn about the culture and customs of the Vietnamese people.
At noon of the same day, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and the delegation attended the reception of Chingetei District. Comrade Nguyen Van Nen thanked the Chingetei District authorities for their thoughtful and warm welcome to the delegation. He expressed his impression of the unique history and culture of Mongolia as well as witnessed the remarkable development achievements of Mongolia. In particular, Chingetei District is the central district of the capital Ulaanbaatar, home to many central agencies, enterprises, banks, universities, hospitals and many unique cultural works.
The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee shared that Vietnam and Mongolia have a deep historical and cultural relationship and the traditional friendship is in a good stage of development. The two countries are preparing to celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations and are making efforts to establish a framework for a comprehensive partnership.
Comrade Nguyen Van Nen added that 5 years ago, Chingetei District and Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the fields of trade, tourism, education, and healthcare. Currently, Thu Duc District has merged with two other districts of Ho Chi Minh City to establish Thu Duc City, the first city-within-a-city model in Vietnam, with the expectation of becoming a new growth pole of Ho Chi Minh City. Comrade Nguyen Van Nen hopes that Thu Duc City and Chingetei District will have more substantial cooperation in the coming time, contributing to promoting the good relationship between the two countries.
* On the same day, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen and his delegation visited the Gobi wool factory - one of the five largest manufacturers in the world specializing in cashmere and camel wool products.
Inter-level School No. 14 was established in 1949, and is one of the cradles of talent training for Mongolia. On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (in 1980, the Mongolian leaders decided to allow the school to be named after President Ho Chi Minh. In 2009, a statue of President Ho Chi Minh was built on the school grounds; in 2017, the Ho Chi Minh Tradition Room was inaugurated.
The goal and also the educational motto of the school is “All for each student”. Therefore, the educational program pays special attention to developing each student’s individual capacity in all subjects... The school has established a Vietnamese Club, attracting many students to participate. All students of the school have a certain understanding of President Ho Chi Minh and know how to sing Vietnamese songs and dance Vietnamese dances.
The working visit of the high-ranking delegation of Ho Chi Minh City to Mongolia took place from July 3 to 6. The working trip was to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnam - Mongolia diplomatic relations (1954 - 2024); 5 years of signing the Memorandum of Understanding on establishing friendly and cooperative relations between Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City and Chingetei District, Ulaanbaatar Capital (2019-2024). At the same time, it strengthened the connection and consolidated the traditional, friendly and cooperative relations between Ho Chi Minh City and localities of Mongolia; contributing to affirming Vietnam's independent, autonomous foreign policy, and respect for traditional friends. Through the visit, the delegation explored and promoted the possibility of enhancing trade, tourism, cultural and people-to-people exchanges between Ho Chi Minh City and localities of Mongolia.
