(CLO) On the afternoon of October 31, at the headquarters of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Hanoi, leaders of Nhan Dan Newspaper and members of the Working Group of the Swedish Institute for Advanced Journalism Training (FOJO) had an intimate and open discussion about the strategy and innovation process of Nhan Dan Newspaper.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association expressed his joy and honor to receive the FOJO delegation to visit and work at Nhan Dan Newspaper. The Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper said that he was also one of thousands of Vietnamese journalists who participated in FOJO's training course many years ago.

At the meeting, the representative of the FOJO delegation, Ms. Annelie Ewers, former Director of FOJO, was pleased to revisit Nhan Dan Newspaper and expressed her desire to listen to Mr. Le Quoc Minh share about the development of Nhan Dan Newspaper in recent years.
According to Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh, over the past 3 years, Nhan Dan Newspaper has been determined to implement a digital transformation strategy with the orientation of becoming one of the leading multimedia media agencies in Vietnam.
To date, Nhan Dan Newspaper has built a full range of press types (print, electronic, television, radio) with the motto "wherever there are people, there is Nhan Dan Newspaper". All publications of Nhan Dan Newspaper, especially print and electronic newspapers, have been strongly innovated to get closer to all classes of people. In order to reach a large number of readers, especially young people, Nhan Dan Newspaper is focusing on promoting information on platforms such as Facebook, Youtube and Tiktok...
Recently, Nhan Dan Newspaper has regularly launched supplements, special pages, and special topics, clearly demonstrating the newspaper's development strategy towards in-depth journalism and data journalism.
Along with professional activities, Nhan Dan Newspaper also regularly organizes events that attract the attention of a large public at home and abroad. Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh reviewed some typical events organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in 2024 such as the Hanoi Flagpole Interactive Exhibition, the Panorama Interactive Exhibition commemorating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory; launching the Space for displaying, experiencing and introducing Nhan Dan Newspaper products...
Just 5 months after creating a fever in the country, on October 8, in Vienna (Austria), the Dien Bien Phu Campaign Panorama supplement of Nhan Dan Newspaper was honored at the Innovation and Sustainable Development of Print Newspapers Award in the category of Best Product for Young Readers. The jury evaluated the uniqueness and creativity of this supplement as “an example of world-class print newspaper innovation”.
Regarding the development orientation of Nhan Dan Newspaper in the next 3 years, Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh said that Nhan Dan Newspaper will focus on the following key points: continuing to launch innovative and creative press products; applying artificial intelligence to the creative process to increase the quantity and quality of press works; and fighting fake news.
On this occasion, the leaders of Nhan Dan Newspaper and the FOJO delegation expressed their hope that the two sides will have more opportunities to connect, exchange experiences and cooperate more deeply in the future.
The Swedish Institute for Advanced Journalism (FOJO) was founded in 1972 as part of Linnaeus University in Småland, southern Sweden. FOJO often cooperates with media professionals and academics to improve the quality of journalism education.
Since the early 1990s, the Institute has expanded its cooperation with press agencies worldwide, focusing on Eastern Europe, the Western Balkans, Africa and Asia.
According to the leader of the Ministry of Information and Communications, more than 10,000 Vietnamese journalists attended FOJO courses from 1997 to 2013. Many reporters and journalists who graduated from FOJO training courses are holding important positions in Vietnamese press agencies, including Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association.
