Ulsan City delegation works with Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board

Leaders of Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board introduced the potential and strengths of the economic zone.

At the working session, Mr. Le Hong Phuong - Deputy Head of the Standing Board of Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board introduced to the delegation of Ulsan City the potential and strengths of Van Phong Economic Zone. Accordingly, Van Phong Economic Zone is a multi-sector, multi-field economic zone that plays a leading role in attracting investment and is the driving force for economic development for neighboring regions and the whole country. Seaports and logistics, industry, tourism, and industry are identified to play an important role in combination with other economic sectors. At the same time, the economic zone is also a high-class comprehensive tourism and entertainment service center with unique and distinct tourism products and services, with international brands and competitiveness. The Bac Van Phong area includes 13 sub-zones in Van Ninh district, planned to become an international-class seaport, a modern marine economic center, a deep-water port associated with a duty-free zone. The Nam Van Phong area consists of 6 sub-areas in Ninh Hoa town, planned to become an industrial center associated with seaports, along with urban area projects and coastal tourism services. Currently, Khanh Hoa province has identified projects for strategic investors according to Resolution No. 55/2022/QH15 of the National Assembly, including: Seaports, airports and new urban areas.

Also at the meeting, representatives of Nam Van Phong International Port and Ninh Thuy Industrial Park introduced to the delegation the port infrastructure, industrial park and preferential policies in industrial land lease.

Deputy Mayor in charge of economy of Ulsan City Ahn Hyo Dae highly appreciated the potential and strengths of Van Phong Economic Zone. He said that this is an area with all the elements to develop industry, especially heavy industry. With a long-term relationship, Ulsan and Khanh Hoa still have a lot of room for cooperation, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of both localities. With the successful practice of HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., in the coming time, the Ulsan City government will act as a bridge for businesses of both sides to cooperate, exploiting the full potential of the bilateral relationship.
