Vinh Phuc province delegation visits soldiers and people of Truong Sa island district

Within the framework of the voyage to Truong Sa archipelago, the Vinh Phuc provincial delegation led by comrade Vu Viet Van, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited the army and people on Sinh Ton island, Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa province. Accompanying the delegation were comrades: Luong Duc Minh, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee; Than Van Hai, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department.

At the working session with officers, soldiers and people of Sinh Ton island commune, the provincial delegation congratulated the achievements that the island commune's soldiers and people have achieved in recent times, and at the same time hoped that the island commune's soldiers and people would continue to overcome difficulties and maintain the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Vinh Phuc, the delegation presented gifts from the province including 10 boxes of necessities, 1 TV, 2 desktop computers, 1 photocopier, 2 karaoke sets, and 1 projector to the soldiers and people on the island.

* During the journey to visit the soldiers and people of Truong Sa island district, the provincial delegation held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the officers and soldiers who fought heroically and sacrificed their lives in the event on March 14, 1988 in the Gac Ma sea area.

Nearly 40 years ago, this was the place where the heroic battle of the officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy took place against the invaders to protect the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. They shone with faith and heroic spirit, their blood added to the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" - the Navy soldiers, forming an "immortal circle", a legacy for future generations to stick to the land, stick to the sea, not moving an inch, not moving an inch so that the Vietnamese Fatherland will last forever.

Members of the delegation had a cultural exchange with officers and soldiers of Truong Sa archipelago.

* Next, the provincial delegation visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers on Co Lin Island. Despite many difficulties, officers and soldiers on Co Lin Island always promote their internal strength, do a good job in training, improve their overall strength, and are ready to fight, contributing to firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. The provincial delegation presented 8 boxes of necessities, 1 television, 1 desktop computer, 1 photocopy machine, 1 karaoke set, and 2 sets of portable speakers to officers and soldiers on the island.

With an important strategic position, Colin Island, in coordination with other islands of the Truong Sa archipelago, forms a solid, interconnected defense position, acting as a wave shield in the sea and islands, protecting the Fatherland early and from afar.
