Ninh Binh province delegation successfully concluded the visit and working trip to China

With the desire to learn about the actual development model and management experience of herbal gardens, in Bac Chau city, the hometown of herbs and traditional medicine, known as the Medicinal Capital, the largest herbal center in the world with an annual trading turnover of about 180 billion Yuan, the Working Group conducted a field survey at the Hoa Da Herbal Garden. This is a place associated with the heritage of traditional Chinese medicine, inspired by Hua Da - a famous physician of the Eastern Han Dynasty.

Hua Tuo is considered one of the pioneers of traditional Chinese medicine, famous for his herbal remedies and movement therapy. In the herbal garden, visitors can not only see many precious medicinal plants used in traditional Chinese medicine, but also participate in learning activities such as herbal medicine preparation, learn about the history of traditional medicine and the non-invasive treatments that Hua Tuo created. This is also the venue for the annual International Herbal Fair, attracting a large number of famous herbal businessmen and businesses in the world, as well as visitors and tourists.

From the survey, the Working Group gained experience in the restoration and development of traditional medicines; development of medicinal gardens, raw materials and output products; management and operation methods, experience in building tourism products, organizing tourism services associated with herbal health care to attract visitors and tourists...

Surveying the Traditional Medicine Market of Bac Chau city, the delegation had practical experiences at the world's largest medicinal materials trading center, learning about management and development of the medicinal market.

Ninh Binh province delegation successfully concluded the visit and working trip to China — Provincial Party Secretary Doan Minh Huan presented a photo of the beautiful scenery of Ninh Binh to the representative of Phuong Vien Cuu Chau An Huy Pharmaceutical Company Limited.

On the same day, the delegation had a working session with the leaders of An Huy Phuong Vien Cuu Chau Pharmaceutical Company Limited. Welcoming and working with the delegation were Mr. Ton Nguyen Quang, General Director; Mr. Gia Nguyen, Vice President in charge of business and colleagues.

Anhui Jiuzhou Fangyuan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is the largest manufacturer and trader of high-quality Chinese medicine in Anhui Province. The company belongs to ZBD-Zhenbaodao Group, a famous group in Bozhou specializing in herbal products, pharmaceuticals and health care services.

Sharing at the meeting, Mr. Gia Nguyen said: Although China is a country famous for traditional medicine, with a rich and diverse source of herbs, every year China still has to import 10% of herbs from many places in the world (in which Vietnam is the second largest pharmaceutical exporter to China with more than 30 types of herbs). Currently, China is very eager to find a partner in Vietnam to be able to set up a warehouse, factory and inspection center for primary processed products and to be able to provide health care services using herbs.

Talking with the company's leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Doan Minh Huan highly appreciated the closed production and business model with a warehouse system, a modern pharmaceutical quality control center, and especially the operation of the sales floor and the international herbal trading center of Than Nong Coc.

Introduction to Sinh Duoc craft village, Gia Sinh commune, located in Trang An scenic complex. This is a village with a long history, associated with the name of Zen master Nguyen Minh Khong, who discovered many precious medicinal herbs to make medicine and taught them to local people in the 11th century.

In addition, Ninh Binh has a diverse and rich ecosystem with a large area of primeval forest, with many rare and valuable medicinal herbs. However, the cultivation, harvesting, processing and use of medicinal herbs are still on a small scale, and modern technologies in medicinal processing have not been applied.

Currently, the strategic development orientation is to build Ninh Binh into a heritage center, with high brand value in tourism, cultural industry, heritage economy of the region, the country, the world... associated with the characteristics of local culture and history, including the heritage of traditional crafts. From the similarities with Duoc Do-Bac Chau, Ninh Binh province is ready to cooperate and become a center for exhibition and inspection of medicinal resources in Vietnam.

Ninh Binh Province wishes to cooperate with ZBD Group to exploit and promote the similar advantages between local resources and the Group's strengths. The Provincial Party Secretary respectfully invites the Group's leaders to soon arrange a visit and work in Ninh Binh to study cooperation for mutual development, especially in the development and management of medicinal herbs.

The leaders of Phuong Vien Cuu Chau An Huy Pharmaceutical Company sincerely thank the leaders of Ninh Binh province for their high evaluation of the Company and ZBD Group. The General Director of the Group believes that the two sides can cooperate in 3 suitable fields and hopes that it will become a reality in the soonest time. First of all, it is trade - this is the fastest and most effective method of cooperation because China and Vietnam both have a great demand for herbs, which is the basis for trading and cooperation. Second, the Group has a team of experts who are leading professors in the pharmaceutical industry; has a closed production line, modern technology, so it can support the inspection of herbal production. Third, it is cooperation in developing a health tourism center.

The Head of the delegation highly agreed with the three cooperation proposals of Phuong Vien Cuu Chau An Huy Pharmaceutical Company with Ninh Binh province. He assigned the Department of Tourism as the focal point to connect and share information to concretize cooperation activities between the two sides.

In Beijing, the delegation visited and surveyed the management work and learned about the methods and experiences in organizing tourism service activities, especially organizing cultural activities, folk festivals or events to attract tourists at famous tourist destinations such as: Forbidden City, part of the largest and best preserved ancient architectural complex in China ; Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven.

During the working program in China, the Delegation visited and worked at the Vietnamese Embassy in China. Receiving and working with the Delegation were Comrade Pham Sao Mai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in China and Embassy staff.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Doan Minh Huan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Working Delegation, respectfully thanked the support and assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy and the Ambassador himself for giving the Delegation a warm welcome and assisting the Delegation in arranging the working program during the time the Delegation worked with partners in China.

Inform the Ambassador about the development situation of Ninh Binh province, especially the goals in the Ninh Binh Provincial Development Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, most recently Decision No. 891/QD-TTg dated August 22, 2024 of the Prime Minister on approving the Urban and Rural System Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, in which Ninh Binh is one of the 8 provinces and cities according to the 2030-oriented planning that basically meets the criteria of a centrally-run city.

Ninh Binh province has been consistently implementing the economic development orientation of "Green, Sustainable and Harmonious", taking the preservation and promotion of cultural and historical heritage values and fine traditions of the people of the ancient capital as a resource and driving force for development.

He also proposed that the Embassy continue to pay attention to supporting the connection between Ninh Binh province and local authorities, research agencies, heritage urban management agencies, historical cities of China; Chinese business partners operating in the fields of cultural-entertainment industry, heritage economy, traditional medicine ... as a basis to promote cooperation between Ninh Binh province and Chinese localities to concretize and further strengthen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, promote the building of a community sharing the future of Vietnam-China.

The visit and working session in China of the Ninh Binh Provincial Delegation ended successfully. Through field surveys and experience exchanges with leaders of cities and enterprises in China, the Delegation received a lot of useful and practical information and knowledge, strengthening connections to attract investment, creating momentum to promote socio-economic development, contributing to the early realization of the goal and orientation of developing Ninh Binh province into a centrally-run city with the characteristics of a Millennium Heritage City by 2035.
