Delegation of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province learns from free trade zone model in UAE

Delegation of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province worked with DP World Group.

The delegation worked with the leaders of DP World Group, one of the world's leading corporations in the field of logistics and seaports, which has been affirming its position as a global trade supporter.

At the meeting, representatives of DP World Group shared ways to successfully develop free trade zones, especially with the successful lessons of JAFZA, one of the largest free trade zone models in the world.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation presented a souvenir to the representative of DP World Group.

Thereby, there are recommendations for Ba Ria-Vung Tau province for the Project to study the free trade zone associated with the seaport in Cai Mep Ha area, focusing on the planning design of the zone and policies applied in the zone to form an international-class business environment, becoming a model free trade zone of Vietnam, the top of the region.

The delegation of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province also worked with the Free Trade Zone Council (DFZC) and the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), AFZA Customs Authority and Trakhees (the licensing authority for enterprises operating in JAFZA).

The working content is related to experience in customs management and state management; developing digital platforms in customs management, business support programs; digitalization in management and operation of Dubai's free zones, key policies for successful development of free trade zones including monetary and financial policies, the relationship between free trade zones and financial centers and development prospects of free trade zones in the future.

During this working trip, the delegation of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province also paid a courtesy visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in the UAE.
