The provincial working delegation surveyed a number of historical and cultural relics in Thua Thien Hue province.

From March 14 to March 16, the working delegation of Ninh Binh province led by comrade Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, had a program to research, exchange and learn experiences in Thua Thien Hue province on the restoration, reconstruction, conservation and promotion of heritage values; experience in tourism development; experience in building a centrally-run city according to the characteristics of an ancient capital heritage city associated with promoting specific mechanisms and policies.

The delegation included comrades: Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office, Provincial People's Committee Office, leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches; leaders of the Ninh Binh City Party Committee, Hoa Lu District Party Committee; Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise.

The delegation conducted field surveys at a number of historical and cultural relics in Hue city.

The delegation offered incense at Gia Long Tomb and Minh Mang Tomb.

Gia Long Tomb is the resting place of Emperor Gia Long, the founder of the Nguyen Dynasty, located in Huong Tho Commune, Hue City, about 20 km west of Hue Citadel. Gia Long Tomb is a relic belonging to the Complex of Hue Monuments, recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage in 1993.

Minh Mang Tomb is located on Cam Ke Mountain, about 14 km from Hue City, where the Huong River meets the river. Construction of the tomb began in September 1840 and was completed by King Thieu Tri in 1843. This is a large-scale architectural model consisting of 40 large and small works with ancient traditional architecture, imbued with Confucian identity.

Next, the delegation visited Le Ba Dang Memorial Space - a large-scale, modern and unique private contemporary art museum in the Central region. Le Ba Dang is a name in the modern world art, admired and honored with the title "master painter of the two worlds East and West". During the last half decade of the 20th century, his artworks were exhibited in many countries around the world and are present in many private collections, especially in the US, Japan and France. Le Ba Dang Memorial Space not only displays the works of the late painter but is also a meeting and exchange space for art lovers as well as a place to organize cultural exhibition events...

The delegation visited Minh Mang Tomb.

The delegation also visited Hue City Cultural Park, a social infrastructure project, creating a landscape for Hue City. This is also a place for mass entertainment, a place to organize cultural and sports activities. The park is designed to blend with the natural vegetation and the scenery of the Huong River, creating a space imbued with Hue's character, adorning Hue with a graceful ao dai by the poetic river.

The delegation visited the Hue Imperial City, one of the relics belonging to the Complex of Hue Monuments recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage since 1993. The panorama of the Hue Imperial City still preserves many unique marks of the Nguyen Dynasty's feudal court for hundreds of years. The Hue Imperial City is the place where the Nguyen kings and the last feudal court of our country lived and worked. The Hue Imperial City can be considered the largest-scale construction in Vietnamese history to date.

At the sightseeing and survey sites, the provincial delegation learned about important experiences and solutions to preserve and promote heritage values, build natural landscapes in harmony with historical and cultural relics, serve sustainable tourism development, and aim to build a millennium heritage city and a creative city in the future.

During the working program in Thua Thien Hue province, the provincial delegation continued to have a working session with the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Party Committee on experiences in restoration, reconstruction, conservation, and promotion of heritage values; experiences in tourism development; experiences in building a centrally-run city with the characteristics of an ancient capital heritage city associated with promoting specific mechanisms and policies.
