Established on July 16, 1964, located in Bai Chay Ward (Ha Long City), throughout the 60-year journey of construction and growth, along with the excellent completion of assigned tasks, the 22 Ha Long Nursing Team has always focused on implementing mass mobilization work in a synchronous, comprehensive manner, in accordance with reality, creating social effects, with widespread influence. Thereby, contributing to strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people, building a solid people's heart position in the area.
Lieutenant Colonel Vu Trong Luu, Political Commissar of the 22nd Ha Long Nursing Corps, said: Over the past years, under the leadership and direction of the Standing Party Committee, the Chief of the Navy Political Department, the attention and support of the Party Committee, local authorities and socio-political organizations in the stationed area, the 22nd Ha Long Nursing Corps thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the resolutions and instructions of the superiors on continuing to innovate and strengthen mass mobilization work in the new situation. Every month and quarter, the Party Committees and commanders at all levels regularly have resolutions to lead mass mobilization work with specific policies, measures, targets and requirements that are close to and in line with the unit's reality in each task and each period.
The unit has done a good job of educating cadres, soldiers, and professional soldiers, especially the groups and teams doing mass mobilization work, about the viewpoints, policies, and contents of mass mobilization work. Along with that, it has regularly consolidated and improved the groups and individuals doing mass mobilization work to ensure the selection of comrades with political qualities and working style to meet the requirements of the task.
With the motto of focusing on the grassroots, the 22 Ha Long Nursing Unit has implemented mass mobilization work with diverse, rich and flexible contents and forms. The unit focuses on coordinating and exchanging with the locality to grasp the situation in all aspects of politics, economy, culture, security, national defense, especially criminal activities and religious activities. From there, promptly detect and notify local authorities to disperse and promptly handle cases of security and order, illegal proselytizing; contributing to cleaning up and building a safe area. At the same time, coordinate to promote propaganda and mobilize local people to well implement the guidelines, policies, laws of the Party and State, create social consensus, and consolidate the great national unity bloc.
From the close and effective coordination with the City Party Committee and the People's Committee of Ha Long City, directly and regularly with the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Bai Chay Ward, the unit is always ready with forces and means to participate in search and rescue, fire prevention and fighting, forest fires when incidents occur, as well as ready human resources and materials for the province to organize local political events when requested. From 2019 to now, the unit has had many activities recognized and highly appreciated by local Party committees and authorities. Typically, such as welcoming 195 Vietnamese citizens from Japan back to the country for centralized medical quarantine at the unit during the Covid-19 epidemic, ensuring safety in all aspects; participating in the rescue of the Bell 505 aircraft that crashed in Ha Long Bay; participating in the rescue of 4 workers whose camp collapsed while working at Group 8, Zone 4, Bai Chay Ward...
Also during this period, the 22 Ha Long Nursing Unit regularly maintained solidarity with local Party committees, authorities and people to do a good job in policy work in general and the "Repaying gratitude" movement in particular; effectively participated in movements such as: "The Army joins hands to build new rural areas"; "The Army joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind". The unit coordinated to build and hand over 2 great solidarity houses and 1 gratitude house to people with meritorious services in Van Yen district (Yen Bai province); sponsored 1 child of a fisherman in especially difficult circumstances in village 9, Ha Long commune, Van Don district until he turned 18 years old. Along with that, participated in helping 2 communes of Ky Thuong and Bang Ca (Ha Long city) to build 720m of inter-village roads; joined Bai Chay ward to plant 18 hectares of forest; donated nearly 28 million VND to the gratitude fund, nearly 24 million VND to the natural disaster prevention fund; Participated in hundreds of working days, dozens of boat trips, to collect plastic waste on Ha Long Bay...
It can be said that the mass mobilization activities of the 22nd Ha Long Nursing Corps have contributed to beautifying the beautiful image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of the people of all ethnic groups in Quang Ninh province, contributing to building the 22nd Ha Long Nursing Corps Party Committee to be clean and strong, a comprehensively strong "Exemplary model" unit.
