According to the registration of airlines, Da Nang International Airport (HKQT) is expected to have 4,531 flights landing and taking off at Da Nang International Airport during the Lunar New Year 2025 (from January 22 to February 5, from December 23 to January 8), including 1,893 international flights; 2,638 domestic flights), an increase of nearly 30% over the same period last year.

Of these, there are 8 domestic flights and 20 international flights to destinations such as Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, Mongolia, Philippines, Cambodia, India, etc.

To meet the increasing number of passengers during peak season, Da Nang International Airport has upgraded its infrastructure. The waiting areas, check-in counters, security check, VIP lounges and other convenient services have all been renovated and expanded to ensure convenience and safety for passengers.

Along with that, Da Nang International Airport has prepared a team of enthusiastic and professional service staff; enhanced passenger support services, especially helping the elderly, children and passengers with special needs to be more convenient in the process of checking in and moving.

Security checks were also strengthened and strictly implemented by Da Nang International Airport on this occasion, closely coordinating with functional forces to ensure absolute safety for passengers and flights. Information systems, baggage identification and emergency handling procedures were thoroughly reviewed, helping to resolve any arising situations quickly and effectively.

Mr. Phan Kieu Hung - Director of Da Nang International Airport said that with the strong recovery and growth after the difficulties of the global aviation industry, there are currently 24 international airlines and 5 domestic airlines regularly operating flights to Da Nang.

In 2024, Da Nang International Airport ensured security and safety for more than 81,000 flights taking off and landing, serving more than 13.4 million passengers (6.2 million international, 7.2 million domestic) and more than 34,000 tons of goods and parcels, playing an important role in connecting trade and promoting trade between regions.

Notably, in 2024, Da Nang airport was rated by Skytrax - a global airport and airport rating and evaluation organization - for the first time in the "Top 100 best airports in the world"; "Top 10 best airports in Asia"; and was also in the top 5 nominees for the category "Best airport with a capacity of serving from 5 to 20 million passengers per year" by Routes Asia.
