On April 22, Vietnamese netizens discovered that Dior re-displayed a photo of Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien at the luxury fashion brand's event in March.
Previously, on March 4, Thuy Tien attended the launch of Maria Grazia Chiuri's Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection at Paris Fashion Week.
A day later, Dior posted to its 20 million-follower fanpage photos of special guests at the event, including global ambassador Liu Yuxin, Dior ambassadors (Natalie Portman, Yuko Araki, Zhou Ye, Razane Jamal and Nadia Tereskiewicz) and brand friends (Lucy Hale, Lily James, TEMS, Michelle Monaghan, Heart Evangelista and Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien).
After the scandal Kera vegetable candy broke out, on April 7, Dior hid the photo of Thuy Tien, and removed the tag from the social media account of the beauty born in 1998.
Not only did they re-display the photo, some sharp-eyed viewers also discovered that the French fashion house's Instagram post tagged the account @TienNg12, even though the photo of Miss Grand International 2021 was no longer there.
It is not yet clear what Dior's move means. However, Vietnamese audiences have mixed reactions to this issue.
Most Vietnamese netizens were surprised by the development of the story. Some maintained their previous opinion that Thuy Tien did not deserve the title of Friend of the House (brand friend) of Dior because of her suspected involvement in advertising counterfeit goods.
Besides, others advise people not to be too agitated, damaging the image of Vietnamese people in the eyes of international friends.
Currently, Miss Thuy Tien has not commented on Dior's move. In the past, the actress Lynx - Demon incarnate switched to incognito status. She locked her personal page on all social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok...
Thuy Tien is still under a temporary exit ban due to a previous decision by the Dak Lak Provincial Police Investigation Department. She is not allowed to leave Vietnam from March 15 to May 15 to serve the investigation.
