On the afternoon of April 22, the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Cai Be district, Tien Giang province, said that he had learned of the case of a 6th grade male student's family reporting that he was beaten by a classmate on his way home from school.
Currently, the Department of Education and Training has directed the school's board of directors to investigate and determine further action.
Immediately after the incident, the leaders of Cai Be District People's Committee coordinated with the District Department of Education and Training and the school to visit the student's home to encourage the family. The student has now returned to school.
Previously, at 3:30 p.m. on April 19, the grandmother of Ho Thanh B., a 6th grade student at Hoa Khanh Secondary School (Cai Be District, Tien Giang) reported that B. was beaten.
Afterwards, B.'s homeroom teacher asked about the incident and learned that she was beaten by Dinh Thai P. At 6:40 p.m. the same day, B.'s mother sent a Zalo message with some pictures of her injuries from the beating.
At this time, B.'s homeroom teacher called to ask about his health and asked him to go to the hospital for a medical examination. Then, he went to the class to investigate the student fight to understand the situation and invite relevant parties to resolve it.
According to initial verification results from Hoa Khanh Secondary School at the above time, when B. and a group of friends were on their way home from school. When they reached the section near Ba Hue culvert (Hoa Khanh commune, Cai Be district), P. was joking and riding B.'s bike, falling onto the road and onto the canal. At this time, B. was pulled up on the road by some classmates and went home.
At 5:00 p.m. on April 20, the homeroom teacher called P.'s parents to inform them of the incident and encouraged them to visit B.'s family to inquire about their health. At the same time, he would invite relevant parties to resolve the matter later.
At 9:30 a.m. on April 21, B.'s mother called the homeroom teacher. The homeroom teacher spoke with her and said that he would invite both students and their families to come and resolve the issue on April 22.
After that, P.'s parents came to visit, apologized and promised to pay for part of B.'s medicine.
