Currently, the water levels of hydroelectric reservoirs at 7:00 a.m. on October 23 are as follows: Bung 2 River: 595.66 m; Bung 4 River: 214.28 m; A Vuong: 375.34 m; Dak Mi 4: 254.99 m; Tranh 2 River: 162.82 m and the water levels at the hydrological stations Hoi Khach, Ai Nghia, Nong Son and Cau Lau are below alert level 1.
Based on the forecast of heavy rain from now until October 25 in the province, in order to proactively respond, the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control of Quang Nam province requires Song Bung Hydropower Company, A Vuong Hydropower Joint Stock Company, and Song Tranh Hydropower Company to proactively calculate and organize operations to ensure that the water level of Song Bung 2, Song Bung 4, A Vuong, and Song Tranh 2 hydropower reservoirs does not exceed the highest water level before the flood and switch to the operating mode according to the regulations in Procedure 1865.
Dak Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Company organized the operation to increase the discharge flow to gradually lower the water level of Dak Mi 4 Hydropower Reservoir to 254.0m before 11:00 a.m. on October 24.
Operation start time is from 11:00 on October 23. Flow rate is equal to the flow to the lake plus no more than 150m3 /s. Switch operation mode according to regulations in Procedure 1865.
The Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control requires that the organization of operations must ensure that there are no sudden, unusual flows that directly threaten the lives and property of people in the riverside areas downstream of the reservoir. The organization must inform and notify the authorities and people in the downstream areas about the operation and regulation of the reservoir.
Regularly provide flood forecast bulletins on the lake and rainfall data from measuring stations in the lake basin to the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control of Quang Nam province for monitoring and direction.
