No matter where I am in the pedagogical environment and what position I hold, I am always proud to be a student, a small part of this beloved school named Duc Trong."
The first school in Lam Dong province to meet national standards
According to Mr. Quynh, the 60-year journey of Duc Trong High School can be summarized in 3 stages.
Phase 1 from 1963 - 1975, formed and gradually developed Duc Trong High School.
In phase 2 from 1975 to 2000, the school underwent many mergers and relocations, but the school's teaching staff always made efforts and strived to compete in good teaching and good learning, gradually building plans and implementing the roadmap for the school to meet national standards.
Phase 3 from 2001 to present, Duc Trong High School is proud to be the first high school in Lam Dong province to meet national standards. In the 2003-2004 school year, the school had 67 classes with 2,881 students and 157 staff, teachers and employees. For many years, the school has had students achieve high results in provincial and national competitions for excellent students. Notably, in 2 consecutive years 2008-2009 and 2009-2020, the school had 2 students Phan Ngoc Thao and Doan Thi Xuan Phuong selected by the Ministry of Education and Training for 2 scientific research topics to participate in the Intel Isef competition in the US.

The quality of the management staff and teachers has been improved, the number of teachers who exceed the standard has increased gradually over the years. If in 2004 the school only had 2 teachers with master's degrees, by 2022 the school had 17 management staff and teachers with master's and doctoral degrees. Every year, the school has excellent students at the national level, the number of excellent students at the provincial level is the highest in the non-specialized high school sector of Lam Dong province.
17 years of accompanying the Exam Consulting program
During 60 years of establishment and development, Duc Trong High School has accompanied Thanh Nien Newspaper for 17 years to organize the Exam Season Counseling Program (TVMT) for 12th grade students of Duc Trong District. 2006 was the first year the TVMT program took place at Duc Trong High School. The TVMT program in the following years has always been eagerly awaited by students, teachers and parents. Students and parents have asked hundreds of questions to the organizing committee in hopes of getting answers about preferential policies in admission, experience in choosing a major or career to easily pass university entrance exams, experience in taking exams to achieve high scores, etc.

Mr. Tran Duy Nhan, Vice Principal of Duc Trong High School, who has been with Thanh Nien Newspaper for 17 years, shared: "The TVMT program organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, Lam Dong Provincial Youth Union and universities and colleges every year is very systematic and practical, meeting the wishes of students and parents. The program has provided career counseling, career guidance, and career selection to help students choose universities and colleges that are close to their abilities right before preparing for the high school graduation exam. Thanks to that, students can orient themselves on which major and which school is most suitable for their abilities and family circumstances so that they can have a job right after graduation. Over the past many years, 100% of grade 12 students of the school have passed the high school graduation exam thanks to Thanh Nien Newspaper's TVMT program."
