Adjusting the planning of the Provincial General Hospital

Many buildings of Hai Duong General Hospital have deteriorated and the hospital is seriously overloaded.

According to the leader of Thanh Binh Ward People's Committee (Hai Duong City), the ward has distributed 23 ballots to collect opinions from representatives of agencies, organizations, individuals and communities on adjusting the detailed planning for the construction of the Provincial General Hospital. The result is 100% of opinions agree with the project to adjust the detailed planning for the Provincial General Hospital.

Some opinions suggested that it is necessary to ensure environmental hygiene and safety for people during construction; ensure labor and traffic safety during project implementation. Previously, from October 30 to November 14, 2024, Thanh Binh Ward People's Committee publicly announced and posted the content of the project to adjust the detailed construction planning of Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital, scale 1/500 at the ward People's Committee headquarters.

Perspective of the Provincial General Hospital after planning adjustment and construction of some new buildings

The provincial General Hospital currently has a capacity of 500 beds. According to the provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project was designed and built in 2004 and put into use in 2010. To date, many construction items have seriously degraded, and the fire prevention and fighting system is not guaranteed.

The hospital is seriously overloaded. Therefore, it is necessary to expand the scale and increase the capacity to 1,000 beds to meet the needs of medical examination and treatment and improve people's health. Adjusting the detailed construction plan of Hai Duong General Hospital at a scale of 1/500 is very necessary.

In April 2024, the Provincial People's Council decided to invest in the construction of a number of buildings of the Provincial General Hospital. In early October 2024, the Provincial People's Committee approved the results of the architectural design competition for the Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital. The approved competition plan includes changes in the organization of space, traffic, architecture, construction scale, and construction area of ​​the works in the approved detailed planning.
