"Di Giua Troi Ruc Ro" is a Vietnamese TV series that is receiving a lot of attention from the audience. However, the female lead role Pu, played by actress Thu Ha Ceri, is facing a storm because of the controversial character development.
The Dao girl was criticized for being arrogant, ungrateful, and taking advantage of the kindness of the male lead Chai (Long Vu). Thu Ha’s acting also received mixed reactions when the audience thought she was just acting arrogant and rolling her eyes on screen.
In response to the criticism, Thu Ha wrote a handwritten letter expressing her personal views. The actress shared: “Recently, there have been many positive comments to Ceri about the recent role I am participating in. Ceri is very happy to receive feedback about the role and is still working on fixing the points that the audience is not satisfied with.
But recently, I accidentally read some rather rude comments from some of you sent to me and my loved ones.
Thu Ha said she always maintains a neutral stance and does not respond too much to such comments. But her silence unintentionally “enables a part of the extremist audience to attack, insult and slander” her relatives.
“This happened so much that Ceri realized she shouldn't keep quiet anymore and needed to do something to protect her family,” the actress emphasized.
The female lead of "Walking in the Bright Sky" hopes that the audience will watch and support the film in a positive way, because not everyone is strong enough to face media issues.
Thu Ha also hopes that moviegoers will be wise and responsible for their statements, avoiding hurting others.
Finally, the actress apologized to her fans and followers for having to wait so long to receive official information from her.
