After more than 20 days, the 2024 Vietnam-India Bilateral Exercise on United Nations Peacekeeping was a complete success in all aspects.
Forces of Vietnam and India attend the closing ceremony
The closing ceremony of the Vietnam-India Bilateral Exercise on United Nations Peacekeeping Operations 2024 (VINBAX 2024) was solemnly held at the 474th Engineer Brigade, Ambala, Haryana state, India.
Attending the closing ceremony, on the Vietnamese side were Colonel Nguyen Ba Hung, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department and Colonel Luu Dinh Hien, Commander of the Training Center, Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, and Vietnam Defense Attaché in India.
On the Indian side, there were Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, VSM - Commander of 2 Corps, Western Command, Indian Army and Brigadier General Sumit Kapoor, Brigade Commander of 474 Engineer Brigade, along with representatives of relevant agencies.
At the closing ceremony, delegates watched many exercises of the peacekeeping forces of the two countries.
Including a tour to demonstrate rescue operations in situations of earthquakes, fires, floods, and industrial disasters from chemical plants.
Besides, India also displayed weapons, equipment, robots, and drones.

The ceremony featured joint rehearsals by forces from Vietnam and India.
Speaking at the ceremony, Brigadier General Sumit Kapoor highly appreciated the efforts of the forces participating in the exercise, and affirmed that VINBAX 2024 was organized as planned, achieved the set goals and was a complete success in all aspects of work.
Colonel Luu Dinh Hien, Commander of the Training Center, Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, and Vietnam's Defense Attaché in India, assessed this joint exercise as an important milestone, the largest-scale field exercise with the largest number of participants ever.
It is also hoped that these achievements will continue to spread to other areas besides bilateral military cooperation and peacekeeping within the framework of the United Nations.
At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar emphasized that this is an important step forward in bilateral defense cooperation and opens up more practical cooperation opportunities between the two countries' armed forces, contributing to enhancing the peacekeeping capacity of the two countries.
During more than 20 days of participating in Vinbax 2024, the two countries' forces focused on the contents of deploying activities and performing tasks of the engineering team combined with the work of ensuring military medicine in the formation of units participating in United Nations peacekeeping operations.
Colonel Nguyen Ba Hung and Brigadier General Sumit Kapoor beat the gong to close the exercise.

Vinbax 2024 is the 5th United Nations peacekeeping exercise between the Vietnamese army and the Indian army.
Participating in this exercise, Vietnam sent 47 soldiers and 2 observers from agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense: Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, Engineering Corps, Military Medical Academy and Air Defense - Air Force.
