Firefighting and rescue drill at provincial level at CC1 apartment building

On October 21, the Provincial Steering Committee for Fire Fighting and Rescue Drills (CC&CNCH) organized a drill at CC1 Apartment Building, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant, My Binh Ward (Phan Rang - Thap Cham City). Attending the drill were comrades: Phan Tan Canh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Drill Steering Committee; Huynh Tan Hanh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department and related departments, branches and localities.

According to the hypothetical situation, at 8:00 a.m., a fire broke out at the CC1 apartment building. During more than 50 minutes, the drill mobilized nearly 200 people from participating units and 34 specialized vehicles and vehicles of all kinds to deploy formations and fire prevention and fighting plans to protect property and help people trapped in the fire escape safely. With a sense of urgency and responsibility from the units and forces, the drill took place seriously, ensuring absolute safety. This is an opportunity to test combat capabilities, at the same time practice leadership and management skills and coordination of all levels, sectors and localities in handling large-scale fires, incidents and accidents in the province; at the same time, further raise awareness of all levels, sectors and people about the meaning and importance of fire prevention and fighting (PCCC) in ensuring security and order.

Comrade Phan Tan Canh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the provincial-level CC&CNCH plan drill.

Speaking at the drill, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the achievements and results of all participating forces. This is the third time the province has organized a large-scale fire and explosion drill, with the mobilization of many forces and means to handle fire and explosion situations. However, recently, the fire and explosion situation in the whole country and the province has been complicated, so he requested that the Departments, branches, localities, and the Provincial Police need to focus on implementing a number of key tasks, including: Doing better the work of advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to direct the implementation of the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State on fire prevention and fighting; further strengthening the work of propaganda, dissemination,education of laws, knowledge about fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue, the work of building a movement for the whole people to participate in fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue in conjunction with the movement for the whole people to protect national security; conducting a general inspection and review of key targets and facilities at high risk of fire and explosion; Strengthen the work of establishing and organizing large-scale fire prevention and rescue plans at facilities, key projects, residential areas... to train and improve the combat capacity of fire prevention and rescue forces; pay attention to arranging reasonable funding to invest in and equip means and equipment for fire prevention and rescue forces to ensure meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 5 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the provincial CC&CNCH plan drill in 2023.
