Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation puts up signs for power projects celebrating 50 years of Southern Liberation

(Chinhphu.vn) - Recently, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) held a ceremony to put up the signboard of the project "Renovation of 110 kV Hoa Xa Transformer Station", celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). This is a key project, of great significance in developing urban energy infrastructure in a modern, safe and sustainable direction.

The project was invested and built by EVNHCMC according to the modern, safe and sustainable power development plan on the campus of the 110kV Hoa Xa Transformer Station (No. 120/88, Thich Quang Duc Street, Phu Nhuan District) with a total investment of nearly 250 billion VND, from the Corporation's construction investment capital.

The renovation project has converted the technology from an outdoor switching station to a station using GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) insulation technology, meeting the criteria for safe, modern operation without the need for on-site personnel. This is also a step forward in the roadmap to modernize the power grid in Ho Chi Minh City, gradually approaching the technical level of developed countries in the region and the world .

The project started on June 24, 2022 and was officially energized on March 20, 2025. During the construction process, the units closely coordinated to ensure progress, quality and especially to maintain continuous power supply without affecting customers.

On this occasion, the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and the Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation Trade Union awarded certificates of merit to 14 collectives and 22 individuals who had outstanding achievements in the implementation of the project "Renovation of the 110 kV Hoa Xa Transformer Station", making achievements to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
