At 2:45 p.m. on April 10, 2024, Duc Hoa Power Company received information about a cajuput forest fire near the electrical safety corridor in My Hanh Bac commune, Duc Hoa district, Long An province.
Immediately after that, the Electricity leaders quickly directed the assignment of concentrated forces to closely coordinate with the Fire Prevention and Fighting forces of Duc Hoa district to extinguish the fire in the 22kV power grid safety corridor area (around pole 115-126 of 22kV line 03 circuit 472-474-482 Duc Lap) at 4:35 p.m. of the same day. The unit has checked the line equipment and found no signs of damage and did not cause a power grid incident.
However, in the deep area of the cajuput forest, fire fighting vehicles cannot reach to completely control the fire and there is a risk of the fire spreading inside, directly affecting the 110kV Duc Lap - Duc Hoa line inside, threatening the security and safety of the power supply in Duc Hoa district.
Faced with the above situation, Long An Power Company promptly directed its affiliated units such as the High Voltage Grid Management Team and the Control Department to coordinate with Duc Hoa Power Company to prepare operation plans and handle incidents on the power transmission system to ensure safe operation of the power system.
With professional expertise, high sense of responsibility and solidarity, not afraid of danger, Duc Hoa Power Company coordinated with the High Voltage Power Grid Management Team to urgently cut down tall trees located below the power line within the Duc Lap - Duc Hoa 110kV power grid corridor (around pole 118-120) to minimize the fire affecting the 110kV high voltage line.
By 9:58 p.m. the fire was completely under control, the cause of the fire is being verified and clarified.
