Former US President Donald Trump would not be able to solve all problems, including the Russia-Ukraine conflict, overnight if he were elected, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

In an interview recorded and broadcast on Telegram on September 1, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed his opinion when asked about the campaign promises of Republican US presidential candidate Donald Trump regarding the resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
"I don't think he has a magic wand or can do anything overnight," spokesman Peskov said.
Previously, during the presidential campaign, Mr. Trump repeatedly promised to resolve the conflict between Ukraine and Russia within 24 hours of returning to the White House.
At the same time, Mr. Peskov dismissed speculation that the new US President might announce an end to military support for Ukraine and called on the parties to sit at the negotiating table in his inaugural speech in January 2025.
Stressing that it was unlikely to happen, the Kremlin spokesman also noted that Russia-US relations have hit rock bottom under US President Joe Biden and appear unlikely to reverse at the moment.
Mr. Peskov emphasized that he saw no prospect that relations between Russia and the US "will enter a development trajectory".
