Binh Dinh identifies science and technology as an important foundation to promote innovation, enhance competitiveness and economic growth. The province has invested heavily in infrastructure and built favorable policies to attract domestic and international resources, helping Binh Dinh become one of the leading localities in the country in developing science, technology and innovation. Binh Dinh is committed to creating favorable conditions in terms of policies, business environment and support ecosystem, helping businesses, investors and startups develop sustainably in the locality.
Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Dung, consultant of the National Startup Association, recommends: In order for Binh Dinh to become an innovative startup valley of the Central region and the whole country, the province must continue to promote the "Quang Trung spirit and spirit" in innovation, focusing on developing intellectual infrastructure for innovation and building a new ecosystem for businesses. The core is to maximize the internal strength and potential of people, combined with existing resources to become a great force for the development of the province.
At the Forum, Mr. Denis Fourmeau, Attaché for Scientific and University Cooperation of the French Embassy, said that the French Embassy will launch the "France-Vietnam Year of Innovation", which will take place from May 2025 to October 2026. Mr. Nguyen Tien Quang, Director of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry in the Central Highlands, said that according to the PCI report (provincial competitiveness index) for the period 2014-2024, Da Nang, Hue, and Binh Dinh are always in the leading group. However, this region still faces many challenges, the improvement rate shows signs of slowing down when only 3 provinces are in the top 30 localities with the best management quality. Despite policy support and local efforts, the Central region's economy has developed, but the number of enterprises is still low, mainly small and micro, with limited competitiveness.
Faced with this reality, Mr. Quang said that the government must improve the business environment effectively and promptly remove difficulties for businesses. It is necessary to complete planning, invest in infrastructure, strengthen regional connectivity, and reduce logistics costs. At the same time, review and adjust business support policies in line with international integration, and develop a human resource development strategy for businesses...
"The new context requires businesses to not only grow but also grow green and sustainably. In addition to traditional business, businesses need to invest in pioneering industries. Growth cannot rely on capital and resources, but must rely on science, technology, and innovation," said Mr. Quang.
