Receiving and working with the delegation from Dien Bien province were comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors.
At the meeting, comrade Pham Quang Nghi and the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association presented 70 photos of “Dien Bien Phu - Heritage Perspective”; the family of the late artist Le Huy Toan presented the painting “Dien Bien Phu Artillery Regiment” created in 2000 to the people of Dien Bien province on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Quoc Cuong sincerely thanked the sentiments of comrade Pham Quang Nghi and the working delegation. At the same time, he affirmed that the 70 photos of "Dien Bien Phu - Heritage Perspective" and the painting "Dien Bien Phu Artillery Regiment" presented by the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association and the family of the late painter Le Huy Toan are meaningful cultural and historical gifts for Dien Bien province, practically towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. At the same time, he will direct specialized agencies to choose a location to preserve the painting and display the photos so that people of all ethnic groups in the province can admire, visit and learn more about the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Quoc Cuong also respectfully accepted the comments of comrade Pham Quang Nghi on the renovation and upgrading of historical relics, preservation of cultural heritages in the area; and the best preparation of conditions to successfully organize the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory.
