Take advantage
At the end of 2023, Nguyen Van Tiep Fine Arts Wood Company Limited (Dong Khuong block, Dien Phuong ward) invested nearly 150 million VND to build 10 floating houses around the lake in the wood workshop premises as a space to display products and a place for visitors to relax.
This idea came about when Mr. Nguyen Van Tiep - Director of the company realized that combining production with tourism is the best way to preserve and promote the value of craft villages.
“Dien Phuong is home to many traditional crafts such as Phuoc Kieu bronze casting, Le Duc Ha red pottery, Phu Chiem Quang noodles… These are unique cultural features that can attract visitors to come and experience,” said Mr. Tiep.
Since the Lunar New Year, foreign visitors have occasionally come to the factory, and some travel agencies have promised to bring visitors in the future.
With a location not too far from Hoi An, Dien Ban acts as a satellite destination outside the old town. Over the past 10 years, the countryside of Dien Ban has attracted a relatively large number of visitors, especially European and Australian tourists.
Seizing this advantage, some community tourism spots have been formed such as Triem Tay (Dien Phuong), Cam Phu (Dien Phong)..., with initial positive results.

If Triem Tay village has somewhat positioned its brand on the map of Quang Nam countryside tourism, Cam Phu or Dong Khuong craft village cluster (Dien Phuong)... are gradually becoming the addresses of interest to travel companies and foreign tourists.
Mr. Le Duc Ha - owner of Le Duc Ha Terracotta Facility said that although it is still in the pilot phase and not yet completed, most visitors highly appreciate the services and tourism products here, especially experiences such as learning to make pottery, landscapes, etc.
In fact, over the past years, rural tourism has always been a focus of Dien Ban. After the initial results of community tourism models in Triem Tay and Cam Phu villages, from 2021, the project to develop tourism in Tan Binh village (Dien Trung commune) and surrounding areas has continued to be implemented.
Thereby, it aims to exploit the remaining areas of Go Noi land based on the potentials and advantages of landscape, ecology, cultural and historical relics...
Promote rural tourism
In the Urban Development Program to 2030 and 2045, Dien Ban sets the goal of continuing to develop local tourism and diversifying products to serve customers.

In particular, focus on combining cultural tourism with ecological tourism, forming and connecting tours inside and outside the city. It is easy to see that out of the 10 planned subdivisions, half of the planning is related to tourism.
Specifically, the coastal urban area (area of more than 1,225 hectares) functions as a sea tourism center and develops sea sports activities...
Nam Phuong urban area (area of about 1,432ha) is determined to have the function of urban area, eco-tourism, resort tourism, and commercial services.
Dien Hoa subdivision (area over 904ha) is also planned for eco-tourism...
Dien Tien subdivision (area of nearly 1,118 hectares) in addition to its function as an industrial park and residential area also develops services and ecological tourism in the riverside area.
In particular, Go Noi subdivision (area of nearly 3,619 hectares) will focus on developing ecological agricultural tourism along both banks of the Thu Bon River.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang - Vice Chairman of Dien Ban Town People's Committee analyzed that with diverse natural landscapes and rich cultural and historical traditions, especially the system of craft villages and relatively convenient traffic connections..., it has created an important foundation for rural tourism to have the opportunity to develop.
In the coming time, in addition to implementing planning work, strengthening links and connecting travel businesses, Dien Ban will continue to complete destinations such as Cam Phu village, Tan Binh village and some nearby historical and revolutionary relic sites such as Ben Den, Hoang Dieu tomb (Dien Quang commune)...
From there, in order to fully exploit the potential for rural tourism in the Go Noi area, helping visitors have more experiences in their journey to explore Quang Nam tourism, especially on the heritage road connecting Hoi An ancient town and My Son relic site (Duy Xuyen).
