The above information was shared by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao, Chairman of the Competency Assessment Examination Council, Hanoi National University this morning (April 2).
Accordingly, the average score of the first two rounds of the competency assessment test was 80.0/150. The highest score was 130/150 (candidates took the test in Part 1 - Mathematics and data processing, Part 2 - Language - Literature, Part 3 - Science with 3 topics: Physics, Chemistry and Biology); the lowest was 18/150.

Compared to previous years' exams, this year's exam scores tend to increase slightly (about 3-5 points on a 150-point scale) because candidates can choose the Science or English exam according to their abilities and strengths according to the new General Education Program.
Mr. Tien Thao predicts that the admission score based on HSA exam results this year will be higher than previous years.
The Hanoi National University's aptitude test consists of 3 parts:
- Part 1 - Mathematics and data processing (50 questions, 75 minutes);
- Part 2 - Language - Literature (50 questions, 60 minutes);
- Optional – Science (50 questions, 60 minutes; choose 3 out of 5 topics Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography) or English (50 questions, 60 minutes).
This year's competency assessment exam consists of 6 rounds held from March 15 to May 18 in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, and Ha Tinh.
Up to now, the number of candidates registered for the exam is 90,632 applications, of which Hanoi accounts for about 35%, followed by Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa (6%), Nam Dinh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong (5%), Hung Yen, Nghe An, Vinh Phuc, Bac Giang (4%), Bac Ninh, Phu Tho (3%), Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Ha Nam, Ha Tinh (2%), the remaining provinces account for 0 - 1%/province.
This year's university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training require schools to convert equivalent scores between methods and combinations to a common scale. Therefore, HSA exam scores will be converted to a 30-point scale, according to each school's own formula.
