The stock exchange board was covered in blue today (April 3) when 440 stocks "hit the floor". On the contrary, 16 stocks still hit the ceiling.
Most of these codes have small capitalization, are in the mineral group, and have low trading liquidity.
For example, MGC of TKV Mining Geology Joint Stock Company increased by 14.68%. This code has had a series of consecutive ceiling price increases since the end of March until now, despite the market having the strongest decline in the region.
The "hot" increase of MGC code has increased the market price by 320% after 3 months, and increased by more than 412% after one year.
Similarly, KSV of TKV Minerals Corporation increased by the full margin (10%) on the Hanoi Stock Exchange. KSV also experienced many consecutive ceiling price sessions before.
After a period of steady growth, KSV's market price has been pushed up to VND249,800/share. In the past year, this mineral stock has increased by 800%.
However, the increase of KSV does not interest many small investors. Because KSV is a company under Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) and this group holds 98.06% of the capital.
According to research, KSV is a business specializing in mining, refining, processing, and manufacturing non-ferrous and rare metal minerals such as copper, zinc, lead, gold, silver...
Recently, KSV presented to shareholders the target of producing nearly 5.5 tons of gold from 2025 to 2030. Currently, KSV is also managing and exploiting Dong Pao mine - the rare earth mine with the largest reserves in the country.
In addition, BKC of Bac Kan Mineral Joint Stock Company is also in the group of stocks that go against the market, when it increased in price by the maximum limit (10%) in today's session. Also in the mineral group, BKC has had an impressive price increase of 930% in the past year.
Following the same trend, YBM of Yen Bai Industrial Minerals Joint Stock Company also increased to the ceiling price, up to 16,750 VND/share.
The above stocks increased simultaneously after the Department of Geology and Minerals (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) announced that it had discovered and evaluated 110 mineral mines, including 40 gold mines in the Northwest with reserves of nearly 30 tons.
Of the 40 gold mines found, Bac Kan and Tuyen Quang each have 8 mines; Lai Chau 5 mines; Thanh Hoa and Nghe An each have 4 mines; Lang Son and Cao Bang each have 3 mines; Ha Giang and Yen Bai each have 2 mines, and Dien Bien has one mine. In addition to gold, the accompanying minerals include silver, copper, antimony...
However, it was not until the above information appeared that stocks in the mineral industry actually began to increase sharply from the beginning of February after the news that China banned the export of many important minerals for US industrial production, including tungsten and bismuth.
