Agoda's survey of culinary destinations in Asia also shows that South Korea tops the list of top 5 countries that tourists love when it comes to culinary experiences during their trips, with 64% of visitors coming here mainly to enjoy specialties such as kimchi, Korean BBQ and fried chicken.
The remaining destinations in the top 5 were Taiwan (62%), Thailand (55%), Japan (52%) and Malaysia (49%). The survey was conducted with more than 4,000 Agoda users who had booked to various destinations in the region.
