According to the latest statistics of the General Department of Customs, by the end of May 2024, the whole country had 6 provinces and cities including Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Ninh, Binh Duong and Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, Bac Giang with export turnover of over 10 billion USD.

Accordingly, the top 4 localities include Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Ninh, Binh Duong and Thai Nguyen with results of 17.53 billion USD; 14.37 billion USD; 13.41 billion USD; 13.15 billion USD respectively.

Ranked 5th is Hai Phong with an export turnover of 12.15 billion USD. Compared to the same period last year, Hai Phong's export turnover increased by 29.25% (equivalent to an additional turnover of 2.75 billion USD).

Meanwhile, Bac Giang's exports reached 10.58 billion USD, ranking 6th in the country. Compared to the same period in 2023, the locality's exports increased by 19.14% (equivalent to an additional turnover of 1.7 billion USD).

Notably, Bac Ninh has regained its recovery momentum after a difficult start to the year (by the end of April, growth was still negative compared to the same period last year).

Specifically, May recorded a significant breakthrough for this locality with the leading turnover in the country reaching 3.15 billion USD.

In May, the country's goods exports reached 32.27 billion USD, up 3.9% over the previous month. In the first 5 months, they reached 156.28 billion USD, up 14.9% over the same period last year.
