On the afternoon of July 18, the Academy of Journalism and Communication officially announced the minimum score for admission to full-time university in 2024.
Accordingly, the academy's general requirement for candidates applying for admission by all admission methods is to have a grade 10, grade 11 and semester 1 grade 12 high school grade ranking of 6.5 or higher, and conduct in 5 semesters must be good or higher.
With the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores, for majors/specializations in the group with one main subject in the combination multiplied by a coefficient of 2, the total score of the three subjects multiplied by the coefficient must be 25 points or higher.
Majors/majors in group 2 - no coefficient subjects, total score of three subjects must be 18 points or higher.
This score includes the exam score according to the admission combination, priority score for subjects and regions.
With the combined admission method, the academy requires candidates applying for journalism programs to have an average score of 7.0 or higher in 5 semesters of high school literature (not including semester 2 of grade 12).
Candidates applying for combined admission to programs in group 4, sociology, publishing, and editing and publishing majors in group 2: average score of 5 semesters of high school English (excluding semester 2 of grade 12) is 7.0 or higher.
In 2024, the Academy of Journalism and Communication will enroll about 2,400 students for 32 majors, divided into four groups: journalism, history, communication, advertising, international relations and other majors.
The academy uses four admission methods, of which the academy reserves about 70% of the total enrollment quota for considering high school graduation exam scores.
Last year, the admission score to the Academy of Journalism and Communication, based on the graduation exam score on a 30-point scale, was the highest for multimedia communications at 28.68 (combination C15: literature, mathematics and social sciences). History was the second highest with 28.56 points (combination C00: literature, history, geography and C19: literature, history, civic education).
With a score of 40, the professional public relations industry has the highest score with 38.02 points in the combination of D78 (literature, social sciences and English) and R26 (literature, social sciences, English certificate conversion score).
