On the afternoon of July 18th, the Academy of Journalism and Communication officially announced the minimum admission scores for the 2024 regular undergraduate program.

Accordingly, the academy requires that all applicants, regardless of the admission method, must have an academic performance rating of 6.5 or higher in grades 10, 11, and the first semester of grade 12 in high school, and a conduct rating of "good" or higher for all five semesters.

For admission based on high school graduation exam scores, for majors/specializations with one main subject in the combination weighted by a factor of 2, the total score of the three weighted subjects must be 25 points or higher.

For majors/specializations in group 2 - without weighted subjects, the total score of the three subjects must be 18 points or higher.

This score includes the exam score based on the chosen subject combination, and priority points for eligible candidates and regions.

With the combined admission method, the academy requires applicants to have an average grade of 7.0 or higher in Vietnamese language and literature across five semesters of high school (excluding the second semester of 12th grade).

Candidates applying through the combined method to programs in group 4, sociology, publishing, and publishing editing in group 2 must have an average score of 7.0 or higher in English across 5 semesters of high school (excluding the second semester of 12th grade).

In 2024, the Academy of Journalism and Communication will recruit approximately 2,400 students for 32 majors, divided into four groups: journalism, history, communication, advertising, international relations, and other fields.

The academy uses four admission methods, with the method based on high school graduation exam scores accounting for approximately 70% of the total enrollment quota.

Last year, the admission cutoff scores for the Academy of Journalism and Communication based on high school graduation exam scores (on a 30-point scale) were highest for the Multimedia Communication major at 28.68 (C15 combination: Literature, Mathematics, and Social Sciences). The History major had the second highest score with 28.56 points (C00 combination: Literature, History, Geography and C19 combination: Literature, History, and Civic Education ).

On a 40-point scale, the professional public relations major scored the highest with 38.02 points in the D78 (literature, social sciences , and English) and R26 (literature, social sciences, and converted English certificate score) combinations.
