On December 8, at the common room located at the headquarters of the Vietnam Trade Office in the Russian Federation, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union and the Vietnamese Student Association in the Russian Federation inaugurated the Youth Library - a place for cultural and spiritual activities for all Vietnamese youth studying in the Land of White Birch.

This event is part of a series of activities to celebrate major events of the community as well as bilateral relations such as the 4th Congress of Delegates of the Association of Vietnamese People in the Russian Federation and the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-Russian Federation diplomatic relations.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Hoai, member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnamese Party Committee in the Russian Federation, highlighted the significance of the initiative as it took place ahead of the 4th Congress of the Vietnamese Association in the Russian Federation. She reminded that reading is also a way to improve oneself, and the library will not only be a place to read books, but also connect young people from all over Vietnam to study in the Russian Federation.

Mr. Do Xuan Hoang, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in the Russian Federation, still remembers the appearance of the headquarters from a few decades ago, which has now completely changed thanks to the spacious construction of the students. Also a former student in the Soviet Union who later became a successful businessman, Mr. Hoang sincerely shared with the young people that it was the love of learning and the thirst for knowledge that helped the Vietnamese people escape from war, poverty, and backwardness, and develop side by side with the world powers.

In today's era, knowledge is no longer difficult to find thanks to the Internet. One task that Vietnamese intellectual youth need to always remember is to selectively absorb knowledge and information, avoiding being manipulated in the "pool" of knowledge.

The Youth Library has collected about 1,200 books in many fields, from history, politics, economics, to culture and literature, books in Vietnamese and foreign languages. The books are also posted on the Association's website so that students can learn before coming to the library.

In addition, the library is also a place to display souvenirs, memories, gifts, and certificates of merit that the Vietnamese Student Association in the Russian Federation has received for its achievements in studying, volunteering, and working towards the Fatherland, gradually building a corner of tradition for tens of thousands of future owners of the country during their time studying, training, and growing up in the Russian Federation.

The library will also organize thematic exchanges, organize reading days, storytelling and writing competitions about books, organize book days and annual book fairs to enhance the role of books for young people.

Chairman of the Vietnamese Student Association in Russia Le Huynh Duc said that today's project is the result of two years of efforts since Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi suggested and directed the organization of a cultural address for students in Moscow, enriching students' lives and improving learning efficiency.

The library initiative also received support from the "Tradition and Friendship" Fund, the Vietnamese Association in the Russian Federation, and was enthusiastically responded to by many young people, who joined hands to carry out the project from donating books, building a process for reading and borrowing books, and setting out reading room regulations.

Since its organization was fully organized from the first Congress in March 2024, the Vietnamese Students' Association in Russia has had many meaningful activities, increasingly affirming its pioneering role in responding to the slogan of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnamese Students' Association: "Vietnamese Students: Strong Identity - Rich in Aspiration - Creating the Future - Building the Country"./.
