Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh province) and Sa Pa (Lao Cai province) of Vietnam have just been voted the Best of the Best 2024 Travellers' Choice Award by the world's largest travel consulting platform TripAdvisor.
In this list of 7 trending destinations in the world, Ha Long Bay and Sa Pa ranked 3rd and 5th respectively.
The Best of the Best awards honor destinations whose hotels, restaurants, and activities have received a high number of reviews and comments that exceed traveler expectations over a 12-month period. These seven destinations represent less than 1% of the 8 million destinations that Tripadvisor has reviewed and awarded this prestigious award.
Reviewing Ha Long Bay, TripAdvisor’s homepage article describes tourists visiting the site for a close-up look at the stunning limestone islands, rock formations and caves. These natural wonders have been eroded by centuries of wind and rain, making them truly breathtaking.

Recently, the Indian tourism publication Times Travel honored the 50 most beautiful destinations in the world in 2024, including 3 Vietnamese locations "on" this list: Sa Pa (Lao Cai province), Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh province) and Hoi An (Quang Nam province).

Total tourism revenue reached about 22,200 billion VND, an increase of 48.9% over the same period in 2022.
