Over the past years, the cooperative relationship between Vinh Phuc province and Japanese localities, partners, organizations and enterprises has continuously developed strongly, extensively and effectively. By the end of March 15, the province had 477 FDI projects with a total investment capital of 8.5 billion USD, of which Japan had 62 investment projects with a total registered capital of 1.88 billion USD (ranked 2nd in terms of capital among 20 countries/territories investing in the province), but the value and economic efficiency that Japanese enterprises contributed to the budget ranked first in the province.
Japanese manufacturing investment projects in the province focus mainly on automobile and motorbike supporting industries with typical enterprises such as Toyota, Honda, Sumitomo, Hitachi Astemo, Sojitz, etc.
Identifying Japan as a strategic investor, in recent years, the province has carried out many activities to support enterprises that have been producing and doing business in the area; established the Department of Investment Promotion and Support for Japanese Enterprises in Vinh Phuc; regularly synthesized and grasped the difficulties and problems of enterprises to support and promptly resolve issues under its authority; established a Working Group between the province and Honda Vietnam Company to support enterprises in implementing solutions to reduce emissions to the environment during production activities; enhanced understanding, guidance and support for Japanese enterprises in the process of learning and investing in the province; updated and shared information on Japanese investment promotion on the province's investment promotion information page; supported partners of the Japanese Sojitz Group and Vinamilk Group to research and implement investment projects in the province. The province has established cooperative relations with two localities of Japan, Akita and Tochigi.
Mr. Ito Naoki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam, affirmed that Vinh Phuc is a locality with many strengths in attracting investment and an attractive investment environment for Japanese investors. Over the years, the province has always paid attention to and had mechanisms and policies to support businesses in general and Japanese businesses in particular; promoted administrative reform; promptly removed obstacles in mechanisms and policies, creating favorable conditions for investors to learn about and implement investment projects in the province.
Thanks to that, most Japanese investment projects are successful and continuously expand production scale, making great contributions to socio-economic development and creating jobs for many local workers.
Mr. Masayoshi Fujimoto, General Director of Sojitz Group, thanked the province for its attention and support during the group's implementation of the Vinabeef Tam Dao beef farming and processing complex project. Up to now, the beef processing plant with a capacity of 30 thousand heads/year, equivalent to an output of 10 thousand tons of meat/year, has been invested with modern, advanced European technology and Japanese meat processing techniques, ensuring product quality according to high world standards.
Along with that, the smart conveyor and packaging system at the factory minimizes human contact, maintaining the temperature and freshness of the meat. Beef is processed and stored at a temperature of 0 - 4 degrees Celsius throughout the production and distribution process, helping to maintain nutritional quality and flavor, meeting strict standards from major markets such as Japan and the EU. Thereby creating a production - consumption chain and promoting the province's livestock industry to develop in a new direction, improving the quality of agricultural products and ensuring sustainability.
With the motto "Prosperous enterprises, Vinh Phuc develops", the province commits to creating the most favorable conditions for Japanese enterprises to continue investing in expanding production scale more effectively in the province; continue to invest in transport infrastructure projects, build essential infrastructure to the fences of industrial parks; train highly skilled human resources to meet the requirements of enterprises; promote investment promotion activities, expand friendly cooperation programs, people-to-people diplomacy with Japanese localities, contributing to fostering good relations between Vietnam and Japan.
