As usual, the transfer season is filled with news surrounding MU's buying and selling. But ironically, until now they have not officially brought anyone in and have not sold any players.

It's not the end of June 2023, but there are already too many names mentioned by the media for the Red Devils. The number is even more than enough to create a squad. Let's take a look at these 11 "rumored" players.
Goalkeeper: Andre Onana
The goalkeeper position has been mentioned a lot recently, when the legendary David De Gea's contract will expire at the end of June.
Regardless of whether the Spanish goalkeeper stays or leaves, it is clear that Ten Hag is looking for a goalkeeper who fits his playing style.
Brentford's David Raya and Porto's Diogo Costa have both been considered, but Onana, with his outstanding performances in the Champions League, has emerged as the frontrunner.
According to recent reports, there has been progress in talks between the two sides. One obvious advantage of the deal is that Onana was a student of Ten Hag at Ajax, so he is familiar with his style of play.
Defender 1: Kim Min Jae
The Korean centre-back contributed greatly to Napoli's Serie A title. And immediately caught the eye of many scouts, including MU.
Many fans have been waiting for another Korean to come to Old Trafford since Park Ji Sung. However, due to the impact of the change in ownership of the team, along with Bayern Munich jumping into the race to sign players, MU gradually became disadvantaged.
Defender 2: Axel Disasi
After the purchase of Kim Min Jae became difficult, Axel Disasi emerged as an alternative.
Monaco's central defender was born in 1998, 1m90 tall. He had an impressive season when he played 49 matches in all competitions and scored 4 goals. Disasi really wants to find a new team to develop his career.
Defender 3: Jurrien Timber
Another former student of the Dutch strategist. Last summer, Timber was considered Erik Ten Hag's top central defender target, not Lisandro Martinez.
From late April to mid-May, there was a lot of information about MU trying to bring Timber to Old Trafford to complete their defender team for the new season.
But later, there was no more contact from MU and Timber is now the target of Arsenal.
Midfielder 1: Mason Mount
The deal is considered to have the highest chance of success, as Ten Hag wants Mount. The English player also wants to go to MU and Chelsea is no longer interested in keeping him, especially when there is only 1 year left on the contract.
The only remaining issue is that the two sides are negotiating to agree on a price. The cost that MU spends could be between 50 and 65 million pounds.
Midfielder 2: Declan Rice
The West Ham captain is determined to leave after having “fully committed” to the “Hammers”. He helped the team stay in the top flight and especially win the Europa Conference League.
Arsenal were the first team to make an offer of £75m plus £15m in add-ons, but it was rejected. Then Man City also jumped into the race, especially when Ilkay Gundogan went to Barcelona.
MU has proposed a player swap to reduce the transfer fee. Scot McTominay and Maguire are the names included in the deal.
However, the Declan Rice deal will be complicated because the player's desired destination is unclear, as well as West Ham's very high asking price.
Midfielder 3: Adrien Rabiot
The French midfielder has been on the radar of United since last summer. With Declan Rice's price tag skyrocketing, a free agent like Rabiot is a good option.
In terms of expertise and top-level experience, Rabiot is not inferior to Rice. If MU does not act quickly, this midfielder may sign a new contract with Juventus.
Midfielder 4: Alexis Mac Allister
One of the earliest rumours of the summer, but also soon failed to materialise for MU.
When Mac Allister announced his departure, many people thought that MU had an advantage because they were participating in the Champions League.
But with Liverpool really needing this world champion and Allister himself also wanting to join Klopp's army, the two sides closed the deal very early.
MU's rumored lineup as of now. |
Forward 1: Harry Kane
The prospect of Harry Kane coming to MU has been drawn for a long time. Because Kane needs to leave to find a title, while MU needs a top striker.
MU has a big advantage in England. Because Man City and Liverpool both have strikers, Chelsea is not in the Champions League. And Arsenal is Tottenham's rival in London.
But the most difficult thing right now is that Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy does not want Kane to go to domestic teams.
Forward 2: Ramus Hojlund
The 2003-born striker is considered a good option in case MU cannot have Kane.
Hojlund is tall, skillful and has the potential to develop into a high-flying striker. He is also a Manchester United fan and is keen to move to Old Trafford.
However, whoever MU targets, the price is always raised. Atalanta offers more than 80 million Euros, a very high price for a young striker who lacks much experience.
Forward 3: Kylian Mbappe
No one would have mentioned this superstar, but when Mbappe announced that he would not renew his contract with Paris Saint Germain after the summer of 2024, the football world was in turmoil.
PSG must sell Mbappe this summer to avoid losing him for free next year. Many options have been suggested by the press. Real Madrid and MU have emerged as the two leading candidates.
If he comes to MU, the French striker will create an extremely attractive competition with Erling Haaland. They are the pair considered to be the successors of Ronaldo and Messi in the race for the world's number one title.
Mbappe is said to prefer going to Real Madrid, but PSG does not agree with this.
In addition, whether Qatar gains ownership of MU or not may also have an impact on this deal.
