List of 10 best-selling car models in the Vietnamese market in May 2023

In the top best-selling cars of the month, VinFast still stands firm with two electric car models VF8 and VF34, while Toyota Vios lost its 10th position to Kia Sonet.

In May 2023, the car purchasing power of the Vietnamese market continued to be gloomy, with most car manufacturers experiencing a significant decline in sales.

In the top of the highest-selling cars of the month, it is worth mentioning that the two electric car models of VinFast still maintained impressive sales, in which the VF8 model rose to the top of the market with 1,274 units, while the VF34 was in 5th place with 960 units. Other positions are still the old names such as Mitsubishi Xpander, Ford Ranger, Toyota Corolla Cross, Honda City... but the positions have been disrupted.

Toyota Vios, a long-time best-selling car model, has now "fallen off the horse" with sales of only 586 units and dropped out of the top 10 , giving way to KIA Sonet.

According to the latest report from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), in May 2023, the entire market had 20,726 vehicles of all kinds sold, down 8% compared to April. Of these, 14,483 were passenger cars, down 8%.
