Accordingly, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, University of Transport, Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education are 5 key public schools and institutes in the field of engineering and technology.

These are 5 public schools and academies with leading capacity and reputation in training and research in a number of key and cutting-edge technology fields and industries.

These schools, together with national universities and some regional universities, play a core role in training high-quality human resources, researching and developing strategic technology fields and national digital transformation.

In 2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has the highest admission score based on the school's high school graduation exam score of up to 28.53 points. This is the admission score for the Computer Science program (IT1).

The Computer Engineering (IT2) program had the second highest benchmark score with 28.48 points. This was followed by Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IT-E10) with 28.22 points.

The two programs with the lowest benchmark scores are TROY-IT and TROY-BA (international cooperation program with TROY University, USA) with 21 points.

Regarding tuition fees, in the 2024-2025 school year, the school will charge 24-30 million VND/school year for standard programs. Dual degree programs have tuition fees of 24-29 million VND/school year.

The highest tuition rates are for Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Logistics and Supply Chain Management programs at VND64-67 million/school year.

The benchmark score for 2024 of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering ranges from 17 to 24.8 points. The school's admission score is the sum of three high school graduation exams, plus priority points (if any).

Of which, Logistics and Supply Chain Management has the highest benchmark score with 24.8 points. Other training majors with scores of 24 or higher include: Mechanical Engineering (24); Information Technology/Multimedia Technology (24); Information Technology (24.75); Computer Science (24.6); Mechanical Engineering/Automotive Engineering (24.35).

The four majors with the lowest entrance score of 17 points include: Hydraulic Engineering, Marine Engineering, Water Engineering - Water Environment, and Environmental Engineering.

In the 2024 - 2025 school year, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering will apply tuition fees of 263,000 - 868,500 VND/credit (16.4 million VND/school year, an increase of 4.7 million VND compared to the previous year).

Specifically, for the regular engineering program, 2nd degree, joint training, dual degree course 64 and earlier, the tuition fee is 455,500 VND/credit. The tuition fee for the engineering and architectural program trained according to the CDIO approach course 64 is 509,000 VND/credit.

For the High Quality Engineer program, course 66, tuition is 263,500 VND/credit, course 67 and above is 418,000 VND/credit. For the integrated bachelor of engineering/architectural engineering program, level 7, joint training, dual degree, course 65 is 465,000 VND/credit.

English program (XE, CDE, KTE, MNE, HKEC) with course 62, 63, 64 tuition fee is 863,000 VND/credit, course 65 onwards is 868,500 VND/credit. French program XF course 62 has tuition fee of 863,000 VND/credit.

Finally, the English architecture program (KDE), French architecture program (KDF) with courses 62, 63, 64 tuition fee is 863,000 VND/credit, courses 65, 66, 67 tuition fee is 767,000 VND/credit and courses 68, 69 tuition fee is 868,000 VND/credit.

In 2024, the University of Transport announced a benchmark score of 20 to 26.45, the highest in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the Hanoi campus.

Logistics and Supply Chain Management continues to have the highest input with 26.45 points, up 0.33 points. This level is the total score of three high school graduation exam subjects plus priority points (if any).

Other majors at the Hanoi campus require admission scores of 20.5 and above. Last year, the lowest score was 18.3. For the Ho Chi Minh City branch, the standard score is between 20 and 25.86.

The school's tuition is currently the lowest among the five schools, around 15.6-32.9 million VND/school year.

In 2024, the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology announced a benchmark score from 18 to 26.4, the highest being in Information Technology.

Other majors with input scores above 26 points are Computer Science (26.31 points), E-commerce (26.09), Control and Automation Engineering (26.08).

In the Northern headquarters, most of the remaining industries took over 24 points, generally not much fluctuation compared to last year.

With the southern campus, the benchmark score ranges from 18 to 25.17, with Information Technology still the highest. The two majors with 18 are Internet of Things (IoT) Technology and High-Quality Marketing.

Tuition fees for full-time university programs for the 2024-2025 school year: average from about 27 million VND to 34 million VND/year depending on the major;

Tuition fees for high-quality undergraduate programs: average from about 39 million VND to 55 million VND/year depending on the major;

Tuition fees for the Bachelor of Information Technology program with application orientation, the Vietnam - Japan Information Technology program and the Game Design and Development program: average about 35 million VND to 37 million VND/year;

Tuition fees for international joint programs for the 2024-2025 school year: average from about 49 million VND to 55.5 million VND/year depending on the program;

Maximum tuition fee increase roadmap for each school year: Tuition fees are adjusted according to a suitable roadmap commensurate with training quality and ensure the increase rate does not exceed 15%/year (according to Decree 81/ND-CP of the Government).

In 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education announced the admission standards based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores. English Pedagogy took 27.5 points, leading the school's admission score. The second place was Control and Automation Engineering Technology with 26.14 points. Next was Information Technology with an admission score of 25.97 points. Wood and Furniture Engineering had a admission score of 20.5 - the lowest in the school.

The benchmark scores for most majors increased by about 0.3-2 compared to last year. 40 out of 66 majors and training programs have benchmark scores of 24 or higher.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education's tuition fee is 28.8 million VND for technical majors to 58 million VND for majors in English.
