Considered as “a miniature Vietnam”, Quang Ninh not only possesses many beautiful landscapes but is also a land rich in cultural and historical values with a rich and unique heritage system. From beautiful natural heritages such as Ha Long Bay, to tangible and intangible cultural heritages such as temples, pagodas, architecture, customs, rituals, and traditional folk art forms, they have created a unique feature of the Northeastern region of the country.

Installing NFC boards helps to preserve and convey information vividly, helping visitors better understand the history and culture of Quang Ninh, contributing to promoting local tourism development.

The smart interactive stations are part of the “Love Vietnam” project, aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The project “Love Vietnam” is being implemented at 4 famous tourist destinations in Quang Ninh province, including: Quang Ninh Museum (Ha Long city), Tra Co Communal House (Mong Cai city), An Ky Sinh peak (Yen Tu historical relic and scenic area, Uong Bi city) and the special national relic of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site (Co To district).

When visiting the above 4 locations, visitors only need to use a smartphone with internet connection and turn on the NFC feature (on supported models), then bring the phone close to the information board as instructed, then immediately, the visitor's phone screen will display a link leading to the project's website.

On this website, visitors can easily find out detailed information and historical significance of the destination; record the presence of other visitors and know how many people they are who have checked in at the destination.

Along with that, visitors can also freely post personal photos with messages and feelings about the place they are sending to the program.

As a tourist from Hai Phong visiting Quang Ninh Museum on a morning in mid-April 2025, Mr. Vu Ngoc Hoan (25 years old, Duong Kinh district, Hai Phong city) was very excited to experience the NFC chip board installed by Nhan Dan Newspaper.

Mr. Hoan shared that instead of just taking photos at the check-in point, he experienced a completely new and interesting check-in for the first time; at the same time, he could know how many people he was checking in here, and share that moment with everyone.

Mr. Do Quyet Tien, Director of Quang Ninh Museum, said: The program "Love Vietnam" has brought many practical and positive meanings to the museum. Over the years, Quang Ninh Museum has always strived to apply technology and digital transformation to improve the experience for visitors and the project of Nhan Dan Newspaper has accompanied the museum in that digital transformation. With the NFC chip board, visitors can quickly find information with just one touch of the phone, making the journey of discovery more convenient and attractive.

The program “Love Vietnam” when implemented in Quang Ninh is not only a simple application of technology but also has the meaning of preserving culture, developing sustainable tourism and promoting the local economy. This is an important step in building Quang Ninh to continue to become a smart and modern tourist destination while still maintaining its traditional beauty and unique identity.

Foreign tourists enjoy checking in at Quang Ninh.

Amr Alaa, a tourist from Egypt, shared that when checking in here, he and his group members also grasped more information about the location where they were standing, as well as the tourist information displayed via the link; at the same time, he was very impressed with the feature of being able to post photos of his experiences, and write his feelings when accessing the website for the program.

The interactive station made by Nhan Dan Newspaper has a uniform design with two colors, yellow and red, inspired by the Vietnamese national flag and can operate without electricity.

Each smart interactive station will provide stories and images about the location and province or city where the interactive station is located, and provide search, navigation, and information features to explore tourist attractions at the current location and neighboring areas.

The combination of technology and culture, with the integration of digital platforms into the program, can promote the image of Quang Ninh tourism to international friends more effectively, helping the locality attract more and more domestic and foreign tourists.

In addition, instead of using leaflets, paper or metal instruction boards that are easily degraded, NFC boards help reduce waste and protect the natural environment of Quang Ninh.

In particular, in the context of increasingly focused sustainable tourism, the application of technology not only helps preserve heritage but also preserves natural landscapes, limiting negative impacts from humans.

As someone who regularly visits historical sites and explores regional cultures, Ms. Tran Thi Hong Nga (Tuyen Quang city, Tuyen Quang province) feels that this is a very meaningful project of Nhan Dan Newspaper.

Ms. Nga said: “Through the NFC chip board of the “Love Vietnam” project, it has helped tourists from far away like me easily find more information about truly useful destinations. Not only that, the orientation towards a “green” future through the materials of the interactive station contributes to creating a modern public space, protecting the landscape and the environment.”

Tourists are excited to experience the smart interactive station of the project "Love Vietnam" in Quang Ninh.

The project “Love Vietnam” was implemented to help arouse patriotism in every citizen, especially the young generation. At the same time, it promotes historical and cultural sites nationwide, creating unique travel experiences for visitors and supporting the development of local tourism.
