On the morning of April 9, at the Government Office, in the presence of the Prime Minister of Vietnam and the Prime Minister of Spain, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and Minister of Foreign Affairs , European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares Bueno handed over the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of culture and sports between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports of the Kingdom of Spain. According to the Memorandum of Cooperation, in the field of culture, the two sides will facilitate cultural and artistic activities of one country in the other. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued Official Letter No. 1218/BVHTTDL-DSVH requesting localities to strengthen the management of relics and activities of preserving, restoring and renovating historical-cultural relics and scenic spots. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to direct relevant agencies and local authorities in the area to further strengthen the role and responsibility of relevant agencies, localities and communities in the management, protection and promotion of relic values and activities of preserving, restoring and renovating relics; strictly control the process of inventorying and reclassifying relics, closely linking with the program and plan for restoration, embellishment and promotion of relic values.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also issued Document 1445/BVHTTDL-DSVH on reviewing, adjusting and implementing the determination of administrative units formed after the reorganization with relics that are World Cultural and Natural Heritages, Special National Monuments and other issues under the State management of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In particular, regarding relics, it is required to keep the names of world cultural and natural heritages, special national relics, national relics, provincial/municipal relics that have been recognized and ranked so as not to change the original elements constituting the relics as well as the historical, cultural and scientific values of the relics according to the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage and the 1972 UNESCO Convention on the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
On the afternoon of April 9, in Vinh City, the People's Committee of Nghe An Province held a press conference to announce information about the 2025 Sen Village Festival and the inauguration ceremony of the "Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown" Monument. This year's event is organized on a national scale. According to the plan, the main activities of the festival will take place from the beginning of May in Vinh City and Nam Dan District, Uncle Ho's hometown. The competition took place from April 9-13 with the participation of 29 choirs with 1,200 artists from 9 countries: Canada, Poland, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.
Also on the evening of April 9, the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association and the City Fine Arts Museum jointly organized an exhibition with the theme "50 years of unification - Building and developing Ho Chi Minh City". On April 9, in Hue city, the Doping and Sports Medicine Center - Vietnam Sports Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) organized a training course for national sports management officials on anti-doping in 2025. More than 70 trainees from sports training and competition centers in provinces and cities across the country participated in the training course. On the same day, April 9, in Da Nang City, the ASEAN Meeting Conference with the theme "Opportunities to enhance cooperation between Da Nang and ASEAN partners" officially opened, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Vietnam's accession to the ASEAN Community (1995 - 2025). One of the contents that Da Nang especially emphasized at the Conference was cooperation in the field of tourism - a key economic sector that the city is focusing on developing.
