In the first quarter of 2024, DIC Corp (DIG) had to deal with returned goods, causing the company's revenue to be almost unrecorded. As a result, DIC Corp suffered a record loss of VND 117 billion while in the same period it was still making a profit of nearly VND 79 billion.

Entering the second quarter, DIC Corp recorded a recovery, with estimated consolidated revenue reaching VND874 billion, and profit after tax expected to reach VND160 billion, up 9.2 times over the same period last year.

DIG's profits come from accounting for product transfers at Dai Phuoc eco-tourism urban projects (Dong Nai), Lam Ha Center Point residential area (Ha Nam), DIC Nam Vinh Yen City new urban area Vinh Phuc, DIC Victory City Hau Giang urban area, Hiep Phuoc residential area project, Vung Tau Gateway Apartment project, CSJ project phase 1.

However, despite recording recovery results in the second quarter of 2024, DIG is still behind schedule compared to the plan set for the year.

Specifically, DIG set a revenue target of VND2,300 billion, up 72% compared to last year. Consolidated pre-tax profit is expected to reach VND1,010 billion, up 6 times compared to 2023.

With the business results of the second quarter, DIG has completed nearly half of the revenue plan but has not reached 10% of the annual profit plan. Thus, if there is no strong breakthrough in the second half of 2024, DIG will almost certainly break the annual business plan.
