Khanh Hoa recognized two locations with potential for community tourism development: Ninh Van commune (Ninh Hoa town) and Van Thang Agarwood Craft Village (Van Ninh district).

On July 19, the People's Committee of Ninh Hoa Town held a ceremony to announce Ninh Van Commune as a potential location for community tourism development in Khanh Hoa Province. This is the first locality to announce a community tourism location in Khanh Hoa.

According to the leader of Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee, the announcement ceremony of Ninh Van community tourism was organized in combination with cultural and sports activities in Ninh Van commune to create a positive effect, attracting tourists to visit and experience community tourism in Ninh Van commune.

Through the Ninh Van Community Tourism Announcement Ceremony, combined with communication, promotion and advertising, calling for investment in Ninh Van commune community tourism.

Ninh Van has a natural area of ​​over 4,520 hectares, a population of over 2,000 people with over 530 households. This is an island commune with 3 sides facing the sea, like a small valley surrounded by extremely unique natural scenery.

There are a series of famous luxury resorts located here such as: Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, An Lam Retreats Ninh Van Bay...

Not only known as a picturesque coastal village, Ninh Van is also a place that preserves the historical vestiges of the Ho Chi Minh trail at sea with the historical site of the C235 ship memorial site.

In October 2023, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2356/QD-UBND on recognizing Ninh Van commune, Ninh Hoa town as a location with potential for community tourism development in the province.

In July 2022, the People's Council of Khanh Hoa province also issued a resolution to support organizations and individuals participating in investment and business exploitation in Ninh Van commune, Ninh Hoa town.

Immediately after that, Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee also developed a plan to implement the construction and development of community tourism in Ninh Van commune in 2024. In particular, establishing a Community Tourism Management Board in Ninh Van commune, together with issuing unified management institutions in the community; Forming basic elements for community tourism activities in Ninh Van commune such as community tour guides, unified information explanations about community tourism spots in Ninh Van commune and tourist attractions; Installing information boards, signs, and instruction boards.

Organize training for individuals, households, and people in the community to participate in providing tourism services. Review and propose upgrading and repairing traffic infrastructure, investing in facilities, creating a green - clean - beautiful, friendly and hospitable rural environment.

Compared to other types of tourism, community tourism in Khanh Hoa is currently developing quite modestly. In addition to two locations with potential for community tourism development at Tram Huong Xoi Craft Village (Van Thang Commune, Van Ninh District) and Ninh Van Commune Community Tourism Site (Ninh Hoa Town) recognized by the Provincial People's Committee in 2023, localities are also promoting.

In particular, the project to develop community tourism in Bich Dam island area (Vinh Nguyen ward, Nha Trang city), Hon Lay village community tourism site (Khanh Hiep commune, Khanh Vinh district), Hon Dung village community tourism site (Son Hiep commune, Khanh Son district) is receiving attention.
